The 8th spot will play Miami who clinched the East about two weeks ago. BTW Boston just won the Atlantic Division for the first time since 91-92 season. Can the people of Boston get any more sports joy I mean wtf has that city been hit by a pile of "lucky s*it" over the last couple of years jeesh :nape:

The match-ups in the West after last nights games are already set, the standings cannot change in the last two days of the regular season. so here they are:

#1 Phoenix Suns (62-19) vs. #8 Memphis Grizzlies (45-36)
#2 San Antonio Spurs (59-22) vs. #7 Denver Nugges (48-33)
#3 Seattle SuperSonics (52-28) vs. #6 Sacramento Kings (49-32)
#4 Dallas Mavericks (56-24) vs. #5 Houston Rockets (50-31)

Dallas vs. Houston is gonna be a hell of a series, I don't really know about the other ones.....Memphis and Phoenix could be interesting but I doubt it.

PS: Phoenix Suns have homecourt throughout the playoffs.

Damn it Rockets ****ed themselves up by finishing ahead of SAC, they should've played Seattle it would be much easier. But now against Dallas it's gonna be tough, I'm expecting Houston to take it in 6 or 7 tho.

I think San Antonio vs. Denver is gonna be interesting also. Cuz SA is obviously the giants but with Denver's form they might make an upset. However they did lose 2 straight recently...

I'm gonna take Phoenix, San Antonio, Seattle, and Houston. (C)

Btw, the Nets are anal-humping the Wizards right now... I guess there's no Lebron in the playoffs this year. I think the Nets might go far in the playoffs with their surging streak, plus Miami's doubt with Shaq... :nape:

Wait, what would happen if both NJ and CLE are tied at 42-40?

The Nets hold the tie-breaker against them so if both teams finish either 42-40, 41-41 or 40-42 then the Nets would qualify. The Cavs basically have a s*it of a chance to get in which is quite fine with me............2nd lottery pick here we come :lui:

good to see him back so fluidly. he looks like he heasn't missed a beat. im glad for the guy. he always seems to get stuck with the most retarded of injuries.

edit

cavs beat the raptors with an absolutely magnificent effort from james (26 pts, 14 boards, 14 assists) but they don't make the playoffs due to new jersey's win at boston. i'm sad because i want to see if and how lebron would elevate his game in the playoffs. wait another year for that i guess.

Any gamblers out there. Unfortunately my account is bone dry and I'm broke as a joke, but I guarantee you will make money if you follow my series predictions. First Round!!

EAST

Heat over Nets in 6 (until Shaq comes back it might be Jersey in the drivers seat)

Pistons over Sixers in 6 (AI is damn good with a good supporting cast, but the Pistons are too good)

Boston over Indiana in 5 (No Artest or JO? HA!)

Washington over Chicago in 7 (Eddy Curry's loss will be the deciding factor)

WEST

Phoenix over Memphis in 5 (Griz are good, but they're not hot now)

Spurs over Nuggets in 6 (Love the Nugs, but this is a bad draw)

Kings over Sonics in 6 (Sonics not that good)

Mavs over Rockets in 7 (Tough call, it's really a toss up)

I'd just bet the series', but if you want to bet the exact games, then go ahead and try to make more money. It's hard though.

I'll try to predict the second round and on now, but really only the finals matters at this point.

EAST
Miami over Washington
Detroit over Boston

Detroit over Miami

WEST
Dallas over Phoenix
San Antonio over Sacramento

San Antonio over Dallas

FINALS
San Antonio over Detroit

And if you want to take a risk put some money on either the Celtics or the Mavs to win their conference because in my opinion they have great shots at doing so.

Speaking of which, where's Savo who was ADAMANT that not only was Darko the obvious choice at #1 ahead of LeBron, but he was going to step right in and be the MVP of the league?

I thought JO is back already... saw him in the highlights a day or 2 ago.... he got injured again? bummer.... and it's reggie's last playoffs... he'll be determined, let's see how age has caught up to him and if he can still change outcomes of important games
saw the ceremony thing on nbatv last night... Reggie to Mark Carlos*son during they're days together in Indiana "Can u believe that? He left ME to come at you. How dumb can he be?" I was LOL when I heard that.... they were talking about chris child leaving reggie to go and cover mark Carlos*son who in turn passed the ball to a wide open Reggie at the corner ..

I'm definately happier that the C's got the Pacers instead of the 76ers. Philly is a darkhorse team for us and I simply don't see an injury infested Pacers (even with JO back) to be strong enough to topple the Celtics, IF they go out there and the starters play well. I actually have more faith in the 2nd team then the starters so hopefully both impress.

#1 Miami Heat (59-23) vs. #8 New Jersey Nets (42-40)
Miami Heat win 4-2: The Heat are gonna struggle against the surging Nets the first couple of games because of the Shaq injury but they'll come back and win it easily later in the series with the Daddy.

#2 Detroit Pistons (54-28) vs. #7 Philadelphia 76ers (43-39)
Detroit Pistons win 4-2: The only reason why I give the Sixers two wins here is because of AI, he'll probably win those two singlehandedly but the Pistons will end up winning the series eventually.

#3 Boston Celtics (45-37) vs. #6 Indiana Pacers (44-38)
Indiana Pacers win 4-3: Haven't been impressed with the C's as much as everyone in the media has since they have gotten Walker. Their best front court player is a rook and he's gonna get handled by JO. However the Pacers aren't the same team without Artest so I expect them to lose those three because of lack of defense against a very good Boston offense.

#4 Chicago Bulls (47-35) vs. #5 Washington Wizards (45-37)
Washington Wizards win 4-3: I'm sad to predict it this way because I would love to see the baby Bulls but I just don't see it happening. The big three in the capital is similar to what Milwaukee had a couple of years ago with Cassell, Allen and Robinson so expect them to win this one.

----

#1 Phoenix Suns (62-20) vs. #8 Memphis Grizzlies (45-37)
Phoenix Suns win 4-1: The Suns will average 105ppg while Memphis will average 95ppg...that should be enough explanation of why I'm picking the Suns here (btw Nash is still my MVP pick).

#2 San Antonio Spurs (59-23) vs. #7 Denver Nuggets (49-33)
San Antonio Spurs win 4-2: San Antonio doesn't even need Duncan to beat the Nuggets who ended the season playing like s*it. It looks like their confidence has gone down a bit since those two big winning streaks.

#3 Seattle SuperSonics (52-30) vs. #6 Sacramento Kings (50-32)
Seattle SuperSonics win 4-3: The reason why I pick Seattle here is because I have no idea what so ever who will play for the Kings.

#4 Dallas Mavericks (58-24) vs. #5 Houston Rockets (51-31)
Dallas Mavericks win 4-3: Houston is good but Dallas is juuuust a little bit better imo, like Shifty said this is really just a toss-up.

----

#1 Miami Heat vs. #5 Washington Wizards
Miami Heat win 4-1

#2 Detroit Pistons vs. #6 Indiana Pacers
Detroit Pistons win 4-2

----

#1 Phoenix Suns vs. #4 Dallas Mavericks
Phoenix Suns win 4-3

#2 San Antonio Spurs vs. #3 Seattle SuperSonics
San Antonio Spurs win 4-1

----

#1 Miami Heat vs. #2 Detroit Pistons
Detroit Pistons win 4-3

----

#1 Phoenix Suns vs. #2 San Antonio Spurs
San Antonio Spurs win 4-2

----

#2 San Antonio Spurs vs. #2 Detroit Pistons
Detroit Pistons win 4-3
