If Houston can hang onto the 6th spot in the West, they'll be in for a breeze against the Sonics in the first round.

This may be the Rockets' year... :chew:

I thought the Sonics were gonna be a surprise in the playoffs this year but then they got injuries at the wrong time so yeah they're one and done this year.

How about the Nuggets though? They are just raping the entire league at the moment. If they finish 7th they're screwed cas they'll have to face the Spurs in the first round who by then will probably have Duncan back. If they manage to grab the 6th spot or even catch Seattle in the Northwest then I think they would definitely advance pass the first round.

Yea, with surging teams like Denver, Houston, Memphis, we can expect a couple top seeds in the West to be gone early.

bulls get totally analy raped without lube by washington. chandler gets ejected early, and we just get dominated. they were up by like 22 at one point. not good news. now washington and indiana are only a game behind.

(H) Never thought id see the day, but all at once, the Wiz have gone from their usual form of crap to being legitimate contenders. And to think I thought signing Arenas was more of the same crap :$

I really wouldnt be all that shocked to see the Wiz take out Boston. In the east, it will be very intresting to see what the bulls can do to a shorthanded Pacers squad. Indiana has managed all year, and experience will probably serve them well, but it will at least be intresting to see how the young team can turn it on.

Oh, and im not trying to bring them down, but does anyone think Pheonix is a little vulnerable for a one seed? I know theyve been phenomenal all year, but being that their defensive prowess isnt exactly a strong point, I think they honestly could be upset in the Western Semis

I think the Mavs are a great darkhorse to win it this year

The Wizards can and WILL take out the C's in the first round if that will in fact be the match-up come playoff time.

The Suns don't play any defense at all they just try to outscore everyone but they can have a bad shooting night (check Houston game last week) that's when they are vulnerable because there's not much you can do when they throw 125 points down your ass.

The Mavs are always a darkhorse...

son of a bitch... eddy curry is out for the year. so is luol deng. there go our hopes of winning a playoff round. now we have absolutely no offensive inside presence. as much as i like othella and AD, they are not able to match the intensity of curry, and we are going to have trouble with the frontcourt of the wizards if we play them. damn it... :boohoo:

No playoffs for us this season and I'm sure it'll be the same damn thing next season too. :kader: As long as Miami don't win it, I'll be happy.

trust me, the lakers will be back in it if not next year, the year before. they are way too important in the money market for the NBA to leave them lying in the dust. im suprised NY heasen't been magically awarded 10 millions in cap space already.

If Eddy Curry is out, I'd love the Pacers to keep 5th spot and take away court disadvantage against to Bulls. Though home court advantage is a distinct possibilty, Indiana are only one game back now.

Curry gave Dale Davis so much trouble whenever he played, it'd be a relief not to see him play.

I can't believe this but there's a very high chance that the Wolves will still get into the playoffs. Memphis's last two games are against San Antonio and Dallas both at home while Minny has three games left against Seattle at home, Hornets away, and San Antonio at home (this game could be absolutely amazing for the fans if the Grizz lose their last two). All it takes though is a Memphis win or a Wolves loss for the Grizz to clinch.

Wow the Rockets I think just turned themselves into a "scary playoff team" after the way they dismantled the Nuggets tonight. God I can't wait until they start.

Welcome to the club, Conference Finals to the lottery. :(

SRB, I'd like to think we'll bounce back but I just don't see it happening. We've got no cap space and therefore can't do sh!t for next season. I don't care who the coach is next season, I don't think he can get us out of this mess.
