Won the home Villarreal game 1-0. In the return leg I scored first but ended up losing 5-1. :( Heart breaking way to lose.

I'm almost certain I'm going to win the league.
I'm contemplating going to the MLS after this season to achieve my main goals. It's between that or one more year in Europe to make the CL knockouts or try to win the Europa. I have amazing youngsters but the issue is I'll need a few seasons for them to reach their potential, so my team will only be slightly better than this year. Hmm...

I wouldn't want to quit and then find out my rep isn't high enough to get a MLS job... It should be though because I made the Europa quarter finals, no? Another thing is, I might resign, get an international job and wait a while to see if the Toronto job becomes available since that's the team I'd like to manage in the MLS.

One more year

The league will be too easy, and in Europe you have to wait a whole year basically to see what happens, and you can be unlucky and lose. I don't see the team winning a continental cup next year.

Why don you just stay in charge of Poli til an MLS job comes up and apply then?

There will be plenty of MLS jobs I think since there are 19 teams. And I've seen AI managers get sacked when they show interest in another job, not sure if that applies to only applying for a job though. I might give that a try.

When you apply for a job the board get angry but so what, you sometimes have to apologize to the fans, but then just say fuck you and take the MLS job (unless they laugh off interest from you, then grovel to the board and stay til you have a better rep)

Yeah, I'm not sure about 13. Every time I've seen an opposing manager do it, they've been sacked.

I remember in a game I applied for a job, and my board gave me an ultimatum to either leave or be sacked.

Haha. Never had that. Would be interesting to see.

My game right now reminded me how rarely I apply for new jobs. I usually try to stick to 1 club.

I wish money you earned mattered in FM. It's a huge aspect they are just constantly missing. If we could actually do things with our money I would definitely jump ship more often

I would hate that.

Money earned is useful in a way where if you have a large contract, the board are less likely to sack you because of the large compensation they'd have to pay. I don't see a realistic way that a manager would use money which wouldn't make it tacky/the sims.

Only way I'd see it working would be that after you retire as a manager you could use your money to invest on a team and maybe take over it as a director/owner.

That would be cool, but extremely unrealistic. How often does that happen IRL? You'd need a massive amount to take on a good club. And why would a legendary manager buy a small team? He wouldn't care about that imo.
