Sounds like they've fixed what bugged me. Also, some of the new features look pretty cool. How is the "Hitter's Eye?"

The Hitter's Eye helps out a lot. It pretty much let's you know what the pitcher is going to throw. Pitches are color coded (fastball and 2-seamer are white, curveball and slider are red, changeup is green, etc.) and you could look it up on the screen where you can check pitches during at-bats (L3 or R3, I forget which one). Once you get the hang of it, its very helpful. Also, pitching is a little harder, the green accuracy zone in the pitching meter is smaller making it more difficult to throw the perfect pitch (doesn't stop me though :p).

Get the PC version. the 3rd party roster updates from communities and the official patch is totally worth it.

I'm annoyed with the limitation on the players face right now, as it seems really limited and very alike. This is probable because EA's switched their way of visual from cartoonish to realistic.



Surfy, you won't get this for your Australian players. There are some in the default roster update, but the minor league is just HORRIBLE, with only few players you would recognize and the rest being randoms. The players are also rated horribly, which definitely proves how a community roster update is a necessity. The foundation is really good though, as there are more features of rating for the player such as the skill against RHP and LHP.

Mini game implemented is pretty fun, the part I liked the most. Owner's Mode and Dynasty Mode isn't much of interest at the moment, as I'm waiting for a decent roster update.

8 out of 10 for me AT BEST.

Yeah, but I'd rather have them spend the time making the gameplay and graphics and such better, than the time to make all of the minor league players 100% correct. Patchers can fix that, they can't fix a shitty game engine, so I think EA spent their time on the right stuff.

Yeah, i agree there mate, i've just fineshed watching all the trailers on the official website, looks awesome, Manny's face in the game is 100% accurate. :)

Does anybody think that they will make a game for PS2 that will have the updated rosters? Just curious :)

I want to get the game soon but I just want to make sure they don't come up with another PS2 game.

Nah, that won't happen. The cut off date is final, they won't release a game with updated rosters. If you've got a max drive, you can download a rosters update of the internet somewhere for the PS2.

They'd have updates on the internet for P.C. to i assume, they did that with Madden 2005, which was nice. :)

I've played my roomate, and so far he's beat me 6 out of 11 times...but anyways, I'll do the free-agent update myself, thanx Beto. :)
