MVP Baseball 2005

One of the games i've been waiting for, coming out at the end of march, should be great, seen the trailers, looks fantastic, great to see Sosa in his Orioles uniform, but Randy in his new yankee uniform.

Anyway should be a great game, i don't know when it will be released in Australia.

Got it yesterday, you'll have to update the rosters yourselves, the cutoff date was January 15 so Delgado and several other players are still free agents (Sosa is still a Cub as well). The new game is great, they have new mini-games (like Madden's training camp mode) that come up before Spring Training and are available in the main menu. The new owner mode is pretty cool BUT you will start out with a new and very small stadium (20,000 capacity). You don't start out with your team's real stadium. As you build up money through admissions and concessions, you'll be able to upgrade the stadium with more concession stands, souvenir stands, and more seats (you have to do whatever it takes to make so money to pay salaries and other things). They also have Dynasty mode where you don't have to deal with all of that stuff. Considering that this could be the last MVP Baseball game put out, its definitely their best. If you like baseball, you have to get this game.

In Owner Mode, yeah, the other teams have their real stadiums. In Dynasty Mode, everyone has their real stadiums.

From what I remember about last year's Dynasty Mode, you can play for over 50-60+ seasons. It should be the same thing for this year's game.

That's going to take a lifetime to complete. Over a hundred games in an MLB season. Does it have alot of specific faces for star players ?

Yep, all of the star players have their specific face, hell most players have their specific face, except for minor leaguers of course.

Nice, over 200+ Australian players in the Minors at the moment should be good. Does it have good cut scenes ? Also does it include Create A Fan ?

The cut scenes aren't any different from the last game (except from the scene where they cut to the person on deck every once in a while) and there isn't a Create-a-fan option.

I got 2004 for Christmas, my brother got it for me for like $10. There are a couple of things in it, that annoy the heck out of me, that are supposed to be much better in '05, so I think I'll get it.

What were they? I could probably tell you if they've changed it or not.

The biggest one was the absolute lack of walks. Also, no CPU steals and ridiculous amounts of triples for the CPU, unless you shift your outfielders for each batter.

They run on you now depending on the situation. I was beating the Giants 3-1 in the bottom of the 9th and Ray Durham got on base, he then stole second so they seem to steal now. I remember being in certain situations similar to that last year and they did shit. Haven't had a problem with triples (haven't given up one in 7 games). About the walks, do you mean when they walk you? I've had a couple of intentional walks and I've won a couple as well so that's probably fixed.
