Okay, so I won the World Series against.....
....Baltimore Orioles, seriously. Let me know if it happens in your game. The series went 4-3, with Oliver Perez getting the start in the 7th game. Peave started my 6th game but went only 4 innings. In the 7th game, Trevor Hoffman closed out the game witha grounder from Sosa. The final score was 6-5.
I will start another Dynasty Mode. I cheated on this last one...I made uneven trades and had players such as: Prior, Zito, Perez, Beckett, Lidge, J.C. Romero, A.Jones, N.Garciaparra, Ichiro, C.Wilson, Figgins, M.Cabrera....I just wanted to win the World Series.
Anyways, Spring Training is pretty cool...you can increase the batting and pitching on 10 players. (5-batters & 5-pitchers) You get first choice on the Free-Agency list. You draft according to your FINAL RECORD. Anyways, when I start my Dynasty Mode, I will post my line-up...In the meantime here's what I'm planning.

No offense man but you had all those good players and it took you 7 games in Pro to win the World Series?!?! You must not be very good. 
I used to have those type of teams with last year's game, it got pretty boring after a while.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I threw a perfect game yesterday with Odalis Perez against St. Louis. It was my second of the season, Brad Penny got the first against Colorado. Just thought I'd brag a little bit about that.

Traded him for Lowell, My no.1 Starter is Dontrelle Willis damn his class, i need a decent closer guys, i don't want Gagne he's too good for me lol. My Stadium is coming well, the capacity at the moment is 30 000, A Longer Better fireworks show, my aim this upcoming season is to get the Upgrade the capacity to 40 000, which will set me back 20 million.
I'll Post a SS of my squad soon.

I'm gonna start using this thread as a CAREER MLB THREAD...any body wanna do that?
1st SEASON, I made 2 HUGE trades...thats why I have so many players from Florida.
I needed:
1) lead-off hitter (Castillo)
2) A dominant left bad: Delgado (Giles has a 3-year contract...and it's just too much)
3) a Closer (Mota) I traded Hoffy back to Florida where he started. 
4) a veteran IF (Garciaparra) and it doesn't hurt he's from So-California.
I'm very happy with my team right now. Peavy, Becket, Hamels and Olly are gonna hold it down for SD for a long time to come. Wow!!! I just realized how good of a pitching staff I have. My 5th starter will change next year when I bring an 18-year old FLAME-THROWER...I got him from Seattle (AA-team). The #1 PITCHING PROSPECT IN ALL OF BASEBALL. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Playing Pro is boring. Go up to All-Star, it's really harder to get strikeouts, and even with a quality pitch you can still get hammered.
Started with the Oakland As, and made a lot of trades. It's just my way of playing the game with players that fit my style.
Pitching below. Wainwright and Saarloos I'm giving them the job of LRP/MRP. I'll use them next year to start once they prove themselves this season. And for people doubting "weak and fragile" right handers, Saarloos has a 85MPH but still dominates. Velocity is good, but it's not necessary. Reason why Billy Beane drafted him. Kim closes for me.
Basically I have a strict rule of playing my pitchers. Below is the way I use them and save stamina.
Mark Prior 7 innings, Jesse Crain 1 inning and BK 1 inning.
Rich Harden 7 innings, Grant Balfour 1 inning and BK 1 inning.
Horacio Ramirez 6 innings, Adam Wainwright 2 innings and BK 1 inning.
Jeff Francis 6 innings, Kirk Saarloos 2 innings and BK 1 inning.
Scott Kazmir 5 innings, Jesse Foppert 2 innings, Hudson Street 1 inning and BK 1 inning.
I'll try to comply to these rules, as they keep my pitchers happy and performing. And I'm a strikeout guy, pitch count matters in this game (rather too much).
Lineup below. I'm not a "big" homer guy. I really use the whole system of OPS seriously, valuing walks and no no on first swing. I rotate between left and right hand pitchers.
Anyway I have a great roster file that is way better than the "thing" that EA updates for you. The minor leagues are edited to have the least amount of fake players (impossible to get rid of at the moment). PM me for info, I'll be glad to send it over. Direct IP games too. I did one with Brian, but his connection was crap.

Yeah, I do something similar to that. All my starters only pitch 6 innings (the only way they'll pitch longer is if they've got a perfect game going, the moment they lose it, they come out). I usually alternate which guys come out of the bullpen, one day it'll be Duaner Sanchez, Yhency Brazoban, and Gagne and the other day it'll be JC Romero, Jose Capellan, and Chad Cordero. If I'm in a save situation, its always the first three guys and if its a blowout, its the second 3.Hyun said:

The only time I draw a walk is when one of my guys gets intentionally walked. Really i know all about Australian Baseball, but i've never heard of Balfour, is he a decent pitcher?
