Andrea, one little issue about your latest rna.ini:
SKILLS_LONG_SHOT_TAKER=7500000
with that value I find that in 6'half games almost no long shots from CPU, I increase it but then I have too many long shots, then I'll wait your recommendation what would be a better figure.

Actually, I wrote a simple script yesterday that inputted random numbers between 70 and 99 for the CPU pass error slider without any crashes or difficulties. Dynamic team tactics doesn't seem possible, though. Today I'm going to do the same for the pass speed, first touch error, and line width, height, and length. I'm also learning more LUA and AA, so I can make it situational in some cases.

That'll be a database edit then. I'm prioritizing on the dynamic slider script and I have some news.

So far, I've found four CPU slider addresses: Pass error, Pass speed, Line Length, and First Touch error.
Pass error is randomly chosen from 70-99 for the cpu.
Pass speed is randomly chosen from 40-99.
Line Length is randomly picked from 10-50.
First Touch errors range from 40-99. The values are chosen and inputted every few milliseconds for maximum randomness.

I've played around 7 games on World Class difficulty, and here is the CPU pass accuracy range and mean:

Range: 73%-86%
Average: ~80%
Manchester City 3games: 82%, 86%, 81%
Santos Laguna (Forgive me if I spelled this incorrectly) 1 game: 73%
Real Sociedad: 1 game: 77%
And two games that I forgot were around 80% pass success. The CPU plays like a human.

You'll see random bounces and bad passes uncharacteristic of the default CPU and the difficulty isn't scaled down too much with the line length slider.

Hopefully I can learn enough LUA or AA to also adapt the randomness to where the ball is on the pitch and who has possession.

What do you guys think the range for User sliders should be?

¡¡¡that's a discovery!!! :)

Gathering information of leagues around the world (EU & America) the average team passing is 75%... Around 80% for top teams and below 70% to those bottom of the table teams. So your stats for those 7 games look realistic. So it means that "Pass error is randomly chosen from 70-99 for the cpu" should it be 50-99 instead for CPU slider address?

Stats: Manchester City vs. Santos Laguna. 4 games 2home/2away (CPU vs. CPU; WClass - 5 minutes) All 3 games won by MC 1 won by SL.
MC 74% - SL 87%
MC 78% - SL 82%
SL 77% - MC 84%
SL 81% - MC 80%

Santos Laguna achieved much better passing average than MCity :\

I've been watching this since FIFA 11: The annoying issue about this engine or scripting is when a team is trailing, no matter if that team is INDIA vs. BRAZIL, because INDIA will receive a Gandhi's helping hand from heaven and the poor team will start passing, running and shooting so well and you will believe that they`re ready to win the next world cup!... and BRAZIL starts marking so badly that something AMAZING will happen! ;)

Master, to be sincere I've never tried your DB :yc:, only your rna.ini and attrib files because I had installed Classic patch and MW mods. But this morning, when sun shows his shiny ugly face on the Patagonic mountains at 10 AM :brow: I re-installed FIFA 14 and placed DB + attrib files + rna.ini... and let me tell you, THAT'S A HELL OF A DIFFERENCE MAN!!! I can say many things about your mod but I need to watch a lot of games to have detailed conclusions, what I can tell now is that I've never seen goals and fouls like this in FIFA before, superb!

I'll be testing while waiting for some updates of yours or new releases!

Nah, 50-99 is too low in the slider scale for the CPU. All teams would be passing at 80+% if the minimum was 50. I meant 70-99 as in the number you adjust the pass error slider to.

Yep, the games I played yesterday were on default db, plus my rna.ini. DB edits will lower the pass accuracy even more and that'll be phase two after I finish the script.

Thanks for trying it out. I'm going to update my DB method next, but it's a lengthy process. The main purpose for my db now is to compliment the dynamic sliders script.

Here's the outline for my gameplay editing plan:
I. Finish script (This week maybe if no bugs show up)
-------A. Still left to find
------------1. Human pass error (Range 40-70)
------------2. Human pass speed (Range 45-70)
------------3. Human Line length, width, and height (Range 10-75)
------------4. Human First Touch Error (Range 40-65) (Need suggestion)
------------5. Human Shot error (40-60) and speed (50-70) (Open to suggestion)
------------6. GK Abilities for CPU and HUMAN (1-100)
------------7. CPU Line Width and Height (10-75)
------------8. CPU Shot error (45-70) and speed (50-70) (Need Suggestion)
------------9. POSSIBLY Team Tactics (Haven't ruled this out yet.)
II. New DB on moddingway or whatever DB which you guys want. Perfect complement to Slider Script.
--------B. Features
------------1. Hoping for better style recognition and ratings close to default.
------------2. More specialties for all players while preserving skill level.
------------3. Better team styles to correspond with Slider Script.
------------4. More Fouls (No guarantees here on how much)
------------5. Lower pass ratings (Particularly long passing, which is not affected by sliders.)
III. Possibly a new ini file.
IV. Release Slider Script and DB. (ESTIMATED 2-3 weeks)

i have got a pretty good file that i use that keeps realistic pace, wonderful build up and good defense done through team tactic edits and around 75 codes.

it may be the best patch i have made so far for this generation of the series.

Thanks, Reg. I can't wait to try out your AI, but can't until this project either is finished or hits a roadblock. I'm sure that if this works out, with the Slider Script and all, it'll work out nicely with your AI. Looking forward to your release, though.

The real style. His attributes in FIFA don't matter too much because they aren't accurate all the time. So all I need is a matching of a players real style to those listed. For example, Trequartista --> Iniesta. Thanks for your help. :)

2 questions :

1)what do you mean with Left Dribbling--> Long shot? Becouse I don't know if you mean Left wing with left foot or just left wing (left or right foot isn't importan) that dribble and try to shot? in other way, Ribery is a Left Dribbling--> Long Shot or is a Left Winger Secondary Striker? :D

2) What is a left winger dribbling center forward? Is a Left winger that when dribble try to go in the center of the pitch (like Hazard)?
