The Galaxy are absolutely awful
. It looks like Beckham is gonna get out there in the second half but I don't know how much he can do with the way the rest of the team is playing. I think Donovan touched the ball twice the entire first half and it doesn't even look like he cares to have it more. Nice goal by Emilio but Cannon should of had that.
edit: Beckham came on in the last 20 minutes and was probably the Galaxy's best field player (Cannon saved at least 4 goals today) that's how pathetic they are. I don't understand why Yallop puts Donovan up front, he's never going to succeed there if he has no good midfielders to supply him the ball. Playing the same role he does for the NT would suit him best, and even though the Galaxy have some awful strikers (Gordon, Pavon, Buddle
) even they would score every 5 clear cut chances that they miss or so which would probably suit them better than they are now.
It's a shame that he ended up on a bad team because I want the Galaxy to succeed so that all the gay American sportswriters don't call him a bust and the league a bust and go back to the same ol' soccer will never work in America.
If you guys caught Michael Wilbon's interview in the booth during the match then you probably, just like me agreed with everything he said. That guy is a class act and a real jewel in the rough when it comes to American media. He said one thing which I think the MLS should listen to and that is stop trying to market yourself to non-fans, if they haven't watched soccer up to now they won't start because you have some dumb commercials on ESPN in between Sports Center. Market for the fans who already exist, and it's obvious that they do. Like Wilbon said, the MLS has surpassed the NHL in popularity in the United States and I believe that's 100% true. If the general media would just be a little less ignorant and allow the sport to be covered seriously and not like a joke things would be so much better. Meh, I can only hope (:/)...

Buddle with those misses in the end
, I bet you're glad he's gone Carlos.
