hmmm. Aren't Manu and Ronni in and around the San Diego area? RIP.....jk.

Anyway, I hope that they're both okay, man, and that their properties haven't been engulfed by these powerful fires surging through that part of Cali.

As much as I despise anything remotely related to the state of Massachusetts, but especially its sports teams, I can't help but be in awe of Becketts, man. The dude has been tapping into some mid-80s Clemens, man.

Manny, Ortiz and co are just ******* opposition pitchers in the ass relentlessly too....sheesh!

red sox in 4. Bring out the Goddamn industrial sized broom already, man.

I'm actually located in the San Fernando valley which is surrounded by mountains and almost 30-40 minutes from Malibu and 3 hours from San diego. The current fires does not affect me but the smoke can be seen all around. The closest fire we have is 15 minutes from were I live and it is the one located Santa clarita. At the moment they seem to have it at 70% contained which is a good thing.

So everything is well in my area.. Thanks for the concern (Y)

Gotta feel for those people in San Diego though.. :(

Nah I'm safe, plenty of smoke and ash in the air around here though. The closest fire to me is a fire in the San Bernardino area about 30 minutes east from here.

^^ *does the kiiss up at the heavens gesture*.......Good to hear, bro.

Lets get this **** over with, man. This probably has been the worst playoffs in all of sportsdom.....the only series that I can recall where there wasn't a sweep was the Indians/Red Sox one..(I think NY might've won a token one aswell)..and even that was **** for the most part.

man MLB playoffs suck some serious donkey balls nowadays. Sox complete the sweep... I was rooting for the Rockies since they came back to beat the Padres in that final game, shame they couldn't even get a single win in the finals :(

What a CVNT.

Thank for 4 years of NOTHING. Here you are remembered for what you do in October not regular season you greedy bastard.

The Legend
Coors Field looks like they were designing a soccer stadium then realized the Rockies were a baseball team.

Speaking of stadiums, only 81 more games until Yankee Stadium is closed.

^^ Indeed. I've gotta catch a game there before they tear it down.

I don't know if it can still be technically called 'The house that Ruth built" because of the amount of times that it's bee restructured and revamped...but it's still a wondrous stadium, though....just not in the same class as Wrigley or Fenway.

Yes, let's make the game take another 3 hours. Dumbasses.

It's only for balls over the fence not all the dubious calls. And those happen, well one in every season. :D

As long as it's not for balls and strikes, I'm in favor. Why would we not want to get the calls correct? Tennis uses it now.

Yeah, man. There's no set time in Baseball......so why does it really matter if they review a critical play or two? I mean look at that playoff decider between the Rockies and the Padres, didn't the Rockies have a legit run taken away from them because of umpire error? That run could've sealed the game for them, but because it was ruled incorrectly, they had to go into extra innings.
