MLB 2007 Season

Theres only three players worthy of a top pick. Ryan Howard, Albert Pujols , and of course E-Rod. After them its a throw up..Justin Morneau, Johan Santana, David Ortiz... Me being a Jays Fan ill probably homer my draft with Halladay, Ryan, Wells and maybe Burnett, Glaus and Rios if still available.
I have the feeling New York may fall behind the jays this year but stay ahead of the lowly Red Sox...GO JAYS and if not them screw the sox red and white

You better start posting more or you are NOT getting in the fantasy league. We don't need someone going MIA from the forum AND the fantasy league in June. We all stop caring about the league in June as it is, but at least we're still on the forum.

I predict a big year for my Brewers. First news of the year..... Rickie Weeks has an appointment with his hand specialist tomorrow. Son of a bitch.

I'm just gonna sign pure Blue Jay players again this time around, that kept me in 1st place til about July when I dropped to 2nd last (H)

Halladay as 1st overall, cant go wrong with that

I was dumb enough to drop rios last year.... :(
and u ain't getting ryan this year either... LOLz ;)

I was active thru the season last year... but still I sucked at baseball being the extremely casual fan that I am... :D heck I didn't even watch a single bluejays game last year.. only an inning here and there plus highlights on the sport channels

The Mets went out and signed a bunch of 40 year old has beens this past offseason. In other words, the ETA for our next playoff appearance has been pushed back to 2011. :(

Ok first who will start the Fnatasy league?
I've got no problem doing it again and like Shifty said, if you're going to participate, you need to at least make an effort to be active. There were a couple of guys last year who I had to update their lineups every so often.

As for the Dodgers this season, we have to make the playoffs and win at the very least one game. We have arguably the best rotation in the NL now with the additions of Schmidt and Wolf and maybe we can now afford to trade Penny for a power hitter if there's one available. The loss of Drew hurts in terms of his run production but hopefully Gonzo can help make up for it a bit. I expect more from Kent this year after he struggled with injuries early on last year and didn't start getting into the swing of things until just before the All Star break.

I don't know if you are refering to me but last year i recall saying that i wasn't going to be able to be much active way before the draft. I am sure i will be very much into it this season.

Yeah, I knew that because you told me but I was speaking in general terms. There's only about 3 or maybe 4 people who are active throughout the entire thing but I can understand that, it's a very long season. All I ask is that they make an effort to be active by updating their lineups and rotations once or twice a week, that's it.

Third place himself would like to participate in this years fantasy league, If I may.

Prediction: Padres win the season series from the Dodgers, and everybody from the Giants who has a tie to San Diego will suffer badly.

+ we've got Maddux now, bitches! I dont' care if he's 132.

So far it looks that the best newcomer as far as pitching goes is Philiph Hughes of the Yankees. The kid is pure class. His slider is being compared to Clemens. Let's hope Kei is also a good pitcher.

How is my 'other' team doing? The Dodgers of Brooklyn? :p

looking forward to my third SG championship.

I will set it up this time, but should we stick with YAHOO or ESPN? ESPN is now free, and I think they have more features.

does anyone have MLB 2K7? probably will get it for 360 (no high expectations, MVP was magnificent).

I think we should stick with Yahoo BUT ESPN has basically the same features plus the live scoring. I know Yahoo has a thing where you get live updates of players stats as they happen for the first week or so but then you have to pay for it. It doesn't seem like a big deal but it's a feature that I like. Anyway, that's just my opinion but we'll see what everyone else thinks.

As for MLB 2k7, it got a pretty decent rating for the 360. I didn't like 2k6 last year for the PS2 and apparently it still has some of the bugs in this year's version that it had in last year's version. I probably try it out when get an opportunity later this month.

Isn't the ESPN site pretty slow? Atleast it is for me.

As for MLB 2k7...I haven't touched a baseball console game since those ****ers over at EA decided to discontinue (anyone know why?) MVP Baseball.

If you want some real baseball, the text based managing kind a la FManager, then I'd highly recommend this..http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/

I realize that this might come off as blasphemy around these parts, but I think that it's equal to FM interms of replayability and depth...worth the purchase imo.

Technically, it wasn't discontinued. They had to get the college baseball license because 2K holds third-party exclusive rights to the MLB and MLBPA licenses.
