Definitely touched it, and Mata was miles offside at that point. It was probably very difficult for the linesman to spot, because how fast the cross came in and the ball changed direction just a very little. I wonder who'll officially claim the assist since it was offside, Young or van Persie?kp41;3767464 said:I'm not sure RVP touched that ball or not
I doubt it. I believe van Gaal said something like Wilson is starting in this match because of his pace, which was needed or something.fender;3767475 said:Falcao's confidence must have taken some beating Wilson starting ahead of him.
A teacher starts a new job at a primary school on Merseyside and, trying to make a good impression on her first day, explains to her class that she's a big football fan and supports Liverpool. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Liverpool fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl. The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says: "Mary, why didn't you raise your hand?" "Because I'm not a Liverpool fan miss," she replies. The teacher, still shocked asks: "Well, if you're not a Liverpool Fan, then who are you a fan of?" "I'm a United fan, and proud of it," Mary replies. The teacher can't believe her ears. "Mary, how come you're a United fan?" "Because my mum and dad are from South Manchester and are United fans, so I'm a United fan too!" "Still," says the teacher, annoyed, "that's no reason for you to be a United fan as well. You don't have to be like your parents all the time, do you? What if your mum was a prostitute and your dad was a drug addict and car thief. Would you be like them then?" "No," smiles Mary, "I'd be a Liverpool fan."
Well i think he did a good job at breaking up their play in our final 3rd, put in a lot of good tackles and won the ball quite a lot, especially in the end of the match. That's what he's supposed to do. Maybe i'm just too high on the victory and said this based on his second half performance.coach;3767503 said:How did Fellaini look good? He was rash and slow.
Dunno. All three of them can play at once too, but that would mean dropping Mata.nady;3767514 said:If Falcao is going to be 3rd down the pecking order behind Rooney and RvP, would it be worthwhile buying him next year? How much is Monaco asking, like 50 millions? He will be 29 then; same age that RvP had when we bought him and he was at the peak of his carreer. He cost 22 millions or something I think. I think we should just keep Wilson as 3rd choice or buy a younger prospect striker.

But so far we've been winning games and he's been good and keeping Ander Herrera out of the lineup. I'd also like him to start, but i think it's good that we've finally got so many options in the midfield, even with Blind and Di María being out. Now if we only got our defence sorted out.
I personally don't have anything against Evans. I think he's quite good, usually on the ball as well, and van Gaal likes ball-playing centre-backs.coach;3767548 said:Oh, and why is Jonny Evans still playing?! The boy is a huge liability!!
That back pass was atrocious!!
van Gaal seems to prefer Valencia for some reason, though. Probably because we're often playing with 3 centre-backs, and the wing-back role seems to suit Valencia better, dunno. He's been alright lately, but i prefer Rafael as the main right back if we're playing with 4 defenders. Also the latter has been injured a lot lately, that could be one of the reasons as well.kp41;3767569 said:add Rafael to the mix as well ...

No way! It just illustrates my extremely deep knowledge about the season in hand. I mean it's quite obvious, no? :skp41;3773375 said:That's why I dislike your posts lately, what's new we already didn't know? ... its FACTS after FACTS after FACTS ...
Ahh it was clearly a half-assed performance by the players (except for Fletcher who was absolutely rubbish even when trying). Only saw the second half, but it was crystal-clear. Against a 9th division opponent in a small 5k-something capacity stadium in a shitty English weather at its peak? And it looked like the Yeowil guys were playing their hearts out, i mean how often do they get to play against a top PL side featuring Falcaos and Di Marias? I wouldn't be too worried, afterall we won and nobody is going to remember this match 1 or 2 months from now.nady;3773414 said:Pretty bad game against Yeovil. This should have been a comfortable win despite the few younsters. This is worrisome.
