You cant break up Nesta-Maldini, and like i said, you need a pacey LB to keep up with Ronaldo. You could maybe have a 3 man backline, with Cafu moving to RM, but i dont think Ancelotti will test this out in such an important match.
Nesta and Maldini CANT be benched, it just wont happen. On any other club Stam is an automatic starter. I disagree with a lot of Ancelotti's tactics, but one thing he can usually do right is play with a strong defensive lineup, and thats what he'll be doing in Manchester. Who ever suggested Serginho, thats not gonna happen. Maybe hes fast, but he cant defend.
Ronaldo and Kaka will be main factors in this round.
If i see Pancaro starting I'll set myself on fire.
Seems the 'fashionable' thing to do so, heres my valuation. I tried not to be bias, i can can back up all my selections:
Dida > Carroll
Nesta > Ferdinand (hes the best defender in the world)
Maldini > Silvestre
Kaladze = Heinze (to close to call)
Cafu > Neville
Gattuso = Keane (ive been waiting for this battle for a long time)
Seedorf < Giggs
Pirlo = Ronaldo (neither team has a similar type player)
Rui Costa < Scholes (only because Rui has rarely played this season)
Kaka > whoever partners Rooney
Crespo < Rooney
