Excellent game the other night, couldn't ask for any more than 3-0. Shame Rooney had a goal disallowed but he got one in the end. The goals from Berba may have been offside but who cares because we deserved 3-0. Great performance from everyone i thought, especially Jonny Evans though- he hasn't played a lot, so to come into the team and keep a clean sheet was pretty good. I'm beginning to feel Berba is fitting into the team really well but i still hope we can keep Tevez as well. I was a bit concerned by the way Scott Brown kept lunging into challenges but everyones come through unscathed i think.

A goaless draw would be great for me in the Liverpool Chelsea game, i've got Carragher, Reina and Bosingwa in my fantasy football team.

I think that apart from the Liverpool game where the whole team was crap in general, he's been fantastic.


btw my buddy just told me that Tevez might be going to Real??? Anyone read up on this at all?

For Utd that is. I'm not implying that Real are buying him.

I think the Berba deal was less so than the Shevchenko one - Berba is proven in the Premiership, Shevchenko never adapted. United had a better idea of Berbatov than Chelsea did of Sheva because he'd never played in England.

I guess, I have thought the same that the fee was a bit excessive. Looking at his recent form, how he gives something different and factoring in what mikey said he's been worth it. But time will only tell, will he have the impact of a 30+ player for his united career?

As it stands 7 appearances and 5 goals isn't bad at all. Considering he doesn't know the team well and there's a lot more to come before things Gel. He's only going to get better

Sheva was probably more of a rip off than Berba- older, unproven in the PL e.t.c. He did have an excellent reputation before that though if i'm trying to justify the fee. Then again if someone hadn't take that gamble we would have never known. He might of hammered in the goals over here for all we knew before he arrived.

Anyway i saw on Skysports news that Real Madrid are supposedly no longer interested in C.Ronaldo and won't try to sign him again. Personally i highly doubt that. If we stuck him on the market in january they'd snap him up, or be horrified if someone beat them to it.

Shevs really weird. He was/is a brilliant player. Cant understand why he just flopped at Chelsea. Just look at the goals he scored at Milan. Since going back to Milan he's already scored and looking good. For country he's always maintained a high goal scoring record even when at Chelsea. Odd to say the least. We can only assume it was the team built around the player feeding him.

But there again with players like Lampard passing on balls you would think it would be like shooting fish in a barrel for him.

But then look at how the English teams are playing in the champions league again. Perhaps the EPL is just harder? Speed, defence, hard knocks, more games, less breaks etc. I guess not the best place for a ageing player to move.

in spite saying that look at deco, same sort of age and doing much better. But then I guess he doesn't have to score goals to look good. He's already scored 15% of the goals he ever scored at Barca. Guess people adapt differently.

Sheva was low on confidence as time passed at Chelsea. Due to his heavy price tag he had a lot to live up to.

I guess he is a bit sensitive as a person even if he didn't show it, he never came out and talked rubbish, always stayed silent even when the media kept stirring things up. Sadly, I think he started to believe what the media and people(who don't want him to succeed at Chelsea) have been saying about him, and he thought he didn't have what it took to succeed in England.

But I'm sure all of us Chelsea fans are glad he's doing well in Milan.

Enough about that, from a opposition's fan point of view, Utd with Berba lack the cutting edge of last season.

I mean, watching Utd last season, there was full of mobility and pace about them when they had Tevez, CR, and Rooney attacking on the break.
But with Berba, it seems that Utd take a bit slower to build up their attack and it allows the teams better defensively to come back and defend.
But only time will tell, I don't know what Fergie has in mind for Berba, but it doesn't look Tevez is an automatic starter anymore. Which is a shame for him, he was one of the best performing players you lot had last season.

don't think there's anything to worry about. Tevez will get games, lots of them. Rooney and berb just looking good at the moment, there also the need for rotation for us too succeed in Europe and at home. Someone will always be rested or brought on at the 2nd half.

If Rooney wasn't on such **** hot form Tevez would of had more games. Rooneys goal scoring runs never last. Berb is also taking priority over Tevez since berb needs games.

Well damn, all got a little heated didn't it. Lot of players lost there rag, bad tackles, bad decisions. Brilliant game to watch if a little frustrating towards the end.
