but last week Sir Alex claimed that signings are unlikely in january and he's 'happy with the team'. maybe its a misquote from media. Both players look like very good prospects and having a serbian in the team already will help them for sure.

i agree... nani has bags of potential but he is not fulfilling them at the moment. He needs to improve on many aspects of his game. The most important being decision-making. He needs to be pushing park for that left/right wing berth but at the moment he is no competition for park. Park is only second to ronaldo in the pecking order.

^ What pisses me off the most about Nani is the fact that he tries to do everything himself. Countless of times he has the opportunity to make a great pass to an empty team mate yet he chooses to either take on a defender or blast it over the net. I'm sure Sir Alex has been telling him this in training and with over a year now he hasn't really improved in that aspect...

i think thats the thing, hes trying to be ronaldo instead of being his own man...unless he can improve and end up being like ronaldo-now, then thats not bad at all...

Apart from immense work rate, Park doesn't offer anything upfront. I think we are trying to keep the ball way too much, instead of making more of those throughballs.

thats harsh. Park has a good footballing brain. intelligent player. He was one of our better players against spurs.

Anyway, i guess it was a good result. We could have capitalized on arsenal's and liverpool's draws. It was a good performance by the team..just lacked that cutting edge infront. Another tough fixture out of the way.

One of the best? Sure he was running around everywhere trying hard to get that ball, but all he did is keep it and he also had a nice shot on the turn once. It seems that for the past month all we have been doing is keeping the ball, there is just no ruthlessness to our attack. We should be killing teams like Sunderland, Aalborg, Villareal, Tottenham (especially with 2nd string defensive backline), instead we control the possession and create 3-5 real chances per game. That's just not enough. We need someone like Nani, that won't be scared to go at the players or take a shot, right now he is the only guy on a team that really has an eye for a goal. Maybe we need somebody that will shot from almost anywhere to make the teams scared of us because for the past 6 games, opposing teams have done really well just letting us contain that ball and make sure that we don't break through the holes.

Just watch the game today, everytime our player gets the ball, he turns the ball inside and passes it to somebody across the line, rather than going at a defender and beating him. Only Berbatov took on defenders and that happened just once in the whole game. I could count the number of through balls United did in a whole game on my hands.

Lucky we got that Club Championship, maybe it will give the boys a break to clear their heads and comeback strong, because this is the time when you need to be hitting the next gear and sweeping teams to have a chance of winning the league.

I f*cking knew it.
I said it before the game, "Gomes has been crap all season and I bet he plays brilliantly against us".
I didn't see the whole game, but it looked like we just didn't have any ideas how to break them down.

We've been like that for a while now. I don't really get why we can't finish teams off. Still it's draws and not defeats. No-one is really getting away in the title race though, all of the top 4 drew this weekend and Villa have still got a very real chance of finishing in the top 4.

Sorry man I completely disagree about Nani. That's the only eye he's got, for the goal. He cares about nothing else and frankly, he doesn't even hit the net most of the time. There's a reason why he's more and more often left on the bench. I'm hoping that the Serbian winger that's coming in January can make some sort of impact like Rafael has.

I agree that he's hardly the player to inspire us to victory, but I think he's worth having but more as a squad player. Talking about the top 4- I can't believe how much luck Liverpool are getting. Both of the goals should have been disallowed and Hull City should have won 2-0 with a very good performance.

Anyway everyone went to Japan today. They had footage of them arriving at heathrow on skysports news earlier.
