interesting...seems like he'll give Ronaldo some competition for the free kicks.

Would be interesting to see Tosic take the short freekicks and Ronaldo the long freekicks.

Skysports also says that the deal could include Adem Ljajic who plays right midfield. He seems to be good as well. I found a compilation of both Ljajic and Tosic on youtube

yes we have been quite terrible at set plays. (free kicks, corners etc)

Ronaldo seems to take all our free kicks. We need some competition. Hargreaves has a good free kick on him but unfortunately not available.

It's been a terrible waste letting Ronaldo take almost all of them.
I mean sure, he occasionally scores some brilliant ones, but a lot of the time it just cannons into the wall.
I'd rather see him try and hit them differently sometimes and not just with power and swerve.
He's scored some good ones that way too(eg. Sunderland last season and Stoke recently).

I prefer Hargreaves style of free kick- He tries to bend it into the corner rather than just smash it like Ronaldo. Still, Ronaldo's has worked for him in the past.

1-0 United at half time in the derby.

Didnt give city a sniff in the 1st half. If Ronaldo had stayed on, we cld have extended the lead in the 2nd half. We were dangerous on the break. Rafael did an impressive job in keeping robinho quiet. All in all, great performance and great win.

well played you pieces of ****. at least Crapnaldo got sent off

Someone enjoyed today's game I see (Y).

Anyway we really needed a win today so it's great to get that. Shame about Ronaldo, what a daft way to get sent off, regardless of whether there was a whistle he shouldn't have handled the ball.

As for the other game I'm not sure how to feel. I'm glad Chelsea aren't as far away from us now, but at the same time I certainly don't want to see Liverpool win the Premier League.

I wish I could say the same as you 1966+2006. But I still don't know what's gone wrong with our team lately.....By current form, Liverpool are top dog, not us.

And well done West Ham, another 2 points dropped by Liverpool.

EDIT: Zakov, many didn't really believe you'd be challenging for anything last season until quite late into the season (when you beat Arsenal 2-1).
I just think L'pool will burn out in the end as usual. They have shown signs of doing it already to my mind if you watch some of their matches. They've also used up a lot of luck already(eg when they beat Utd and Chelsea).

Ronaldo has been named European footballer of the year! Congrats to our Ron!!
Fully deserved.
I'll agree with that. Fantastic achievement.

Zakov- I would still say you've got a better chance than Liverpool. Liverpool are just lucky- they got some very good results against the big teams, but then just give away stupid points to weaker teams at home. I mean we've lost away to Arsenal and Liverpool, drawn at Portsmouth, Everton and Aston Villa. I think thats pretty respectable really, those are quite good teams. And we've only dropped 2 points at home- to Newcastle. When teams like Stoke and West Brom come to Old Trafford they get hammered, and Chelsea may have stuttered the last couple of games, but they've had some good home results- 5-0 against Sunderland for example.

Besides, Benitez will start that old rotating trick again, which doesn't work.
