he is the role model of the team and should carry the armband in the future

Captains have to play more than 10 times a year.

Plus have you heard about the stuff he did at Leeds? Anyone who did wouldn't want him anywhere near the United armband.

Rio is a criminal, and Rooney doesn't speak english.

Hey ! I read from UNited Site that "Ruud van Nistelrooy is being offered to Barcelona in exchange for Samuel Eto’o. SunSport revealed yesterday the Dutch hitman has told Alex Ferguson he wants to leave Old Trafford."

Cool.... Eto'o is better than Ruud ... younger..
I hope the trade is successful

ya this rio thing is going way too far.
after all we've been loyal and supportive to him during his ban,he's gone and jumped upon the club.

To you unloyal Ruud van Nistelrooij haters: Ruud isn't going anywhere. He wants to see out his contract. Ruud is as determined, as commited and as good as ever. Now think about that Eto'o/Ruud deal for a second. If Eto'o is so much better, why on earth would Barcelona let him go for a player who's older and not as good as you try to make us believe? The Sun is a crap newspaper. They lie all the time. Just a few days ago it had some G. Neville/Lampard rectifications in it.

Maybe my stance of van Nistelrooy has been too harsh. :chew: I'd say we exchange Ferdinand for Eto'o. He is holding the club hostage and he thinks he is the best player at United.

Rio said that an agreement is coming closer and closer. Should the bastard start getting over 100k, he better prove he deserves it. I hope he ****s off though, there are other good CB-s too, who arent that cocky.

Exactly. The **** is playing with us, the fans. We have stood by him when he decided to skip the cup pissing. All the time he was banned ManUtd payed him 70,000 a week for coming to the club to stay in shape. Now the **** wants 150,000? It'd be a nice gesture if he said: "I'll play for 35,000 for the time I was banned and you still payed me".

What the **** is this about anyway? Imagine 70,000 pounds a week, a week for god's sake! My dad earns some seriously good money, and our family knows we're blessed with that because so many other families have to do with much, much less. But my dad works 80 hours a week, makes big decisions, contributes to society, has three sons going to college and he doesn't get in a year what Rio earns in two weeks on his current deal.

You know what, **** Rio, he's been getting himself into too much trouble lately anyway. If we sold Stam and Beckham for whatever reason Ferguson decided to sell them for, Rio might as well **** off too.

yes, i think Smith will be a good captain with his never-give-up spirit. But he is not in the starting eleven, so probably Giggs, Gary and Rio will be the captain.

Keane>Giggs>Gary>Phil>Rio (Fergie seems to like this order...)

Rio is an outstanding player and he is the key to the defensive form we've been in (before and after his suspension), he would be a great loss for us but that doesn't give him the right to act the way he's acting.

I want him to sign the deal, I really do but if he refuses well then it's goodbye.

Damn, you're all too pissed at Rio. Its not like the contract is 2 lines long: You'll get 100k pounds a week, sign below ______.
God knows what kind of clauses he has in there, so dont be so harsh on him. maybe the wage isnt even a problem anymore, but alot of other **** is, you never know now, with Glazer onboard. And you think Eto'o is any less of a prima-donna than Rio? The man thinks hes god himself.

Andrejs

Starting XI
No one really thinks that Eto'o is coming, we don't need him anyway.

Rio didn't want to sign a new contract before Glazer took over, so I don't that Glazer is the problem. Not that im saying we know everything about the negotiations, though.

We ain't going to exchange anyone, we have one of the best players and talents around. And why exchanging a defender for ANOTHER striker, Rooney will be way better than Eto'o in the near future, maybe he is better at the moment. And having an older striker near the young ones is good, they can teach them the good things on and off the pitch.
