it was a penalty in a cl qualifier.
it certainly wasn't against villa, it would be too embarrassing for us villains
(even though he scored most his goals against villa) :kader:

Seeing as we are close to signing Shrek.
I'll certainly welcome Rooney to the club, he is a good, promising player there's no doubt about that and SAF knows what he is doing so I trust him with the buy. Under SAF there will be no messing around for Rooney, he'll be a lot more disciplined, score more goals and become a better player (look at Smith already). And there's nothing wrong with having van Nistelrooy, Saha, Smith, Rooney and Bellion up front, that should be enough to get the goals we need. I just still think we could've done with a creative midfield or left sided midfield player such as Gerrard (yes, he is a scouser but boy, what a player) but there is another transfer window in January so who knows, we can always get someone then.

I'm pleased he's signed because I think he's a great prospect but I can't help feeling we've wasted a ****load of money, I don't care what anyone says, he's not worth £25 million.

rooney is as good a player as he is ugly.....no wait, that's impossible, that would mean he's better than pele and maradona put together.

I pretty much feel the same way. He's a great buy because he should turn out to be a brilliant player, but maybe we could have got a better player for the same price.

I'm happy he's at Old Trafford though.

I rather have Beckham back... but most people will probably disagree..

However, since we are getting him, I am sure he'll be a good addition to the club... myabe he'll win the game for us against Everton when we play them again?

Rooney is a wonderkid and he has proved his big match ability in Euro 2004. I think that SAF can train Rooney into a world class striker. :)

the only thing that worries me about Rooney is that he has the ability to score from range , but often fails to convert easy tap ins , his scoring record with everton wasnt great.
