Its been a bad season but I love how he integrated youngsters. This will be beneficial for the next manager. Lingard, Varela and Borthwick-Carlos*son have been solid. Rashford saved us some point even though he is more likely a Macheda. Pereira also had some experience in the team.

I actually enjoyed this season more than last season because its been interesting to see the youngsters getting some game time. Our gameplay has also become more interesting recently even though we are not winning games.

Mourinho has a pretty bad track record with youngsters so I hope he doesn't screw things up. He will only be a short term solution anyway.

Well that's better than nothing. I wouldn't call it humiliating because we were kicked out by a team from a real league. (C)

I actually enjoyed the game. Both teams performed well.

A real league? So real it won't have any teams in a European Semifinal.

Sadly the only remaining representative is Man Shitty. It doesn't matter I call it bad luck! It was also bad luck the last fee years.

Liverpool is also remaining. They advanced this far by kicking the crap out of Manchester United. I'm sure it just slipped your mind.

What a well taken goal by Rashford again. It was well taken, not just simply a fluke. Hope he keeps it up. Hey, the UCL dream is alive again. We're just 1 point from the 4th spot but we'll manage to screw up again against bottom half teams.

We have Tott, Leicester and West Ham to play against (all 3 above us in the table) so this will be interesting. I think City will get the 4th spot but imagine if the top 4 is Leicester, Tottenham, Arsenal and West Ham. They will show Messi and co what the EPL is all about.

I watched the Manchester derby and I officially think you should keep van gaal. You played some great football - flicks and back heels and passes - and rashford lingard and martial all looked excellent throughout the game. All city could do was try to rough them up. Honestly, give van gaal a couple more seasons and he will hand over a really excellent young team to a sufficiently experienced Ryan giggs. Bring in Mourinho and you will never see these young players again.

Re hammers even if they finish in Europa spot it is absolutely amazing achievement and so huge for them to be able to welcome teams from across Europe to Olympic stadium - Bilic is a hero

I have to agree here, players that are meant to lead the next Man Utd are still too young... Its not a crazy idea to give LVG another season.

Even Smalling has improved enormously under lvg, before I thought he would never amount to more than a Gary Cahill but now I think he has the potential to be a John Terry.

Yeah but the thing is that the pep names means that at least at first man city will be able to attract some really big signings and will have much more pulling power than United, even if they don't make cl. United already tried and failed to go toe to toe with city in the transfer windows and it failed miserably and now it will be even worse, relying on these young players they already own and whom one would assume will be very grateful and therefore fiercely loyal really does seem to me a better option

The only reason this is even a consideration here is because there's only 2 choices seen as viable. Hire Cocu or De Boer and they can both win and develop youngsters.

I like that idea too... if he actually is a good manager. Would like to see someone like that prove himself the way Pep and Cocu did by managing the youth team.

This. Throw stupid money if you have to for a few elite prospects like Tielemans, O. Dembele and a proper CB.
