No this post is not a waste of space. This is a result thread not a preview thread.

England didn't play as well as expected. England looked week at time, Leichenstein were unlucky not to socre. We got the three points and now the team have to make sure they play there best on Wednesday night against a strong Turkey team. I'm dissapointed becuase i was supposed to be going to the match on Wednesday but there was a ticket problem so know one from our school good go!:f***:

Wow it's about time Becks scored off his free kick. It's been a while. BTW the new shirts don't look that bad.

Why? Anybody who had a bit of sense would know England are overrated. The press make them out to be Brazil, when in fact, they are on terms with Holland/Portugal. Very second rate indeed.

Liechtenstein almost scored a goal injury-time from Martin Stocklasa.

I don't know about the overall performance from England about this match, but England sometimes play lackluster against minnow teams. Or maybe Liechenstein got fired up for every time they face the stronger sides.

I think I speak for most in here when I say..shut up and shove that big head of yours back up your ass. Lichtenstein are one of the weakest teams in Europe and even countries like Hungary or Slovakia should bag a handful of goals there, let alone England....and if you think being on par with Holland or Portugal is "very second rate", then you are truley the SG dunce of the week. congrats!

i'd expect a lot of people to come and starting screaming and shouting over that comment. holland and portugal are not second-rate by any means. second rate... would roughly by 20-40~50 in the fifa rankings. not that those are terribly accurate but it does give you an idea of who is second-rate, and who is not.

We got the result, thats all that matters. But if we did play bad then we should improve it for next weeks game. Glad to see Becks score from a freekick coz it has been a while.

Not a very good result 2-0, c'mon against Liechtenstein??
Who are they in the footballworld...? I tell ya DWARFS and it should've been a walkover for the English but it wasn't in the end.

Yep. You do speak for most in here when you say that. (Y)

voetballiefhebb, Holland and Portugal are "very second rate"?

:o :D :D :D :o

Anyway, Liechtenstein are an amateur team... no I'm not insulting them - they are, literally, an amateur team. So a 0-2 win would not fill me with confidence if I was an England fan.

When I say second rate. I don't mean down with Lithuania e.t.c, I mean second best. Germany and Italy have run Europe when it comes to football. Do you really expect Holland, England and Portugal to be challenging for a world cup?

First Class
Germany
Italy

France - Border lines 1-2

Second class
England
Portugal
Holland
Spain
Turkey

Third class
Belgium
Ireland
Scotland
Sweden
Denmark

So on....I take it you get the idea.

England should have trashed Lichenstein. England are overrated, if you question that, then you're a ****ing moron.

As you can clearly see, teams are classed. Maybe you would want to consider this before you try jumping down my throat into an argument, then having me reply and making you look like a bigger arse than you are already.

Let's look at First Class here:

Germany? Who were held to a 1-1 at home by Lithuania today? Yes they reached the final of the World Cup... with a string of highly unconvincing wins. Of course, they are a great team, but how can you put them in a different category from the Netherlands? If anything, Holland is better than Germany right now.

France? Who couldn't get out of the group stage at the World Cup? Italy? Who lost to Wales and tied with Serbia at home in Euro qualifying? Now there's no doubt these are all excellent teams, but how can you put them in a different category from teams like Turkey (World Cup 2002 semifinalists), Spain (who, if it wasn't for the ref, would have been semifinalists), Holland (who recently beat Germany and Argentina). How can you say those teams can't challenge for a World Cup? :kader: :kader: :kader:
