Watched The Merchant of Venice. I must say it's one of the best films I saw lately.

The film is acted very well, brilliant Al Pacino, but it can to offend the feeling of Jews.

Shakespeare is fantasticly un-PC. Check out The Tempest to see his take on retards and Othello to see him on blacks :p

I came up with the most ingenius idea for the staging Othello - start off with him played by a white actor and then, every time he goes off stage, add another layer of black makeup until by the climax he is totally black, then when he is all teary eyed and repentant he rubs the make up off and becomes white again - it would really get the message of isolation and contrast across, and have the theatre ripped down by angry protestors in about three minutes!

I'm going to neg you to somewhat counteract the bombardment of positives you're going to get when Tom reads this post.

Saw Children of Men, fantastic movie. Clive Owen was excellent although I though Chiwetel Ejiofor (sp?) was underused.
The actions scenes were frightningly realistic (especially the part where their car is being attacked) and the scenes inside the refugee camp were some of the best 'war' scenes ever. Loved the effect of blood on the lense.

Great, great movie.

I often have dreams that are very reminiscent of movies. They're not entirely lucid and I don't have complete control over them, but they certainly do feel like they're being captured like scenes in a movie and have plots, subplots and a considerable narrative structure, and I often have actual Hollywood actors who I really happen to like, respect and also wanna **** in them.

Well, anyway, this particular one that I had yesterday was about a dangerously and deadly love triangle involving a crackwhore prostitute wife (played by Kate Winslet), a very abusive and controlling drunkard of a husband (Michael Madsen), their drug dealer and local hitman (Tim Roth) and I played the part of the screwed up mutual buddy of 'em all who lived from across the street of this boarded up and condemned crack den that they all shared.

Anyway, that's all that I can remember as my recall is really terrible, but I do faintly recall that none of us survived in the end, including myself. And every one of us died a completely unrelated gruesome death.....none of us went naturally, or by way of the chemicals that we were binging on..........hmmm. I knew I should've wrote it down the second that I woke up....meh.

eerily uncanny.....couldn've been unintentional, no? He could easily play all the Dylans, the young, midlife, and old just based on looks, man. Wait a minute....he also sings and plays the guitar.........hmm.

Anyway, in conclusion, all Jews look-alike

everytime I see Vincent-WHAT-A-*******-CHORE-HIS-LAST-NAME-IS-TO-TYPE D'Onofrio, I can't help but do a double take just to see if it's him that I'm looking at or Mark Ruffalo, and vice versa, man.

Anyway, I rewatched The Cell last night for the first time in like 7yrs (I remember this movie leaving a mark on me both visually and thematically the first time I saw it so I don't know why I havent watched it again since) Anyway yeah, what an impressive and heavy movie in its visual display, man......sheesh.....beauty in its ugliest form is how I'd best describe it, man.

So, anyone else seen this movie?

Watched Conan the Barbarian with Arnie, on its 25th anniversary....

Best part of the movie for me, the sex scene with the cavewoman witch (their clothing makes them the best kind of witch) Cassandra Gava at the beginning of the movie..oh my!!! "There is warmth and fire. Do you not wish to warm yourself with my warmth and fire?" She was f***ing WILD!!!!! Most witch characters tend to be old and crumply, but she was 23 or 24 at the time and she was HOTT!!!! Very loud screams and a very good sweaty face and cavewoman type hair to enjoy as eyecandy during the screaming and moaning....oh my, that was something else!!!

Too bad she was before the Google age.....

Other than that, movie was ok...3.5/5.

Absolute classic.

Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!

Conan is a 5/5 movie, just Arnie at his best. I mean, its a 5/5 movie for what it is, its no masterpiece like.

Outlaw - really bad movie.

It's Rambo/Hollyoaks, not good. Brilliant acting of course, but the subject was too mixed, and attempted to do too much, ending with us caring very little about the morally dubious leads, including an otherwise excellent Sean Bean.

Sean Bean is a legend (H) I once saw him in theater playing Macbeth.

Watched The Departed yesterday, quality film (Y)
