Great Vieira that controlled the midfield like he was at Juve forever. He hit the crossbar too(header). Player of the game: Mutu. :D

grazie il puma!

its players like that and comments like that which make me want to shade a tear or two. what a legend he will be when he gives up calcio. he is really geared up for this season and i am starting to feel the same way. oh what i would do to be a torinese (as in person who lives in torino) and to go watch this sensational team! instead im over here in australia! :nape:

If you were Torinese you'd most likely be a Torino fan. I think you'd rather be Sicilian or Calabrese.

I'd Be Appiah In England
Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has told BBC Sport that he is set to leave Italian champions Juventus and wants a move to the English Premiership.

The 24-year-old midfielder says English sides Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Birmingham City and Middlesbrough have all shown interest in him.

He added that Turkey's Fenerbache are also in the hunt for his signature.

But Appiah said: "The Premiership is the league to be in right now and I think it will be good for my career."

"I'm in the best shape of my career and I want to win more trophies.

"I want to play week in week out and be in top shape if we qualify for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

"I hear Tottenham are the latest side to be interested in me and playing in London would be great but let's wait and see."

However Everton could have an advantage as Appiah also said that he is keen to play European football next season.

Appiah feels he has to leave the Italian giants following the arrival of Patrick Vieira from Arsenal.

"Vieira is a good buy for Juve and I would have loved to play alongside him, but I have to think about my own career."

Appiah says that he will meet the Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi and his agent Dominico Ricci on Tuesday to finalise his future.

woah ! Appiah gone ? 8 Mil ? thats pretty f*ckin awesome.

Milan finally got Gilardino. It was only a matter of time.

I hope thats the end of Milan's transfer campaign.. and it probably is.

Sheva and Gilagol starting... Vieri / Inzaghi coming off the bench... pretty impressive.

I'm not jealous though... Juve are more than well equipped even if Cassano doesn't arrive. Its good to have Trezeguet, Ibrahimovic, Del Piero, Mutu and Zalayeta ;)

Mancini will most likely be signed which is pretty awesome. Miguel looks likely as well...and who knows Cassano as well .. i still think we'll get him.

*waiting for Roma's ban to be lifted* (6)

and yes SB9, Tacchinardi is still at Juve. Now that Appiah is gone he might stay. Blasi could be on his way out.

Zidane was worth it, on the other hand Appiah...As far as i can remember, everyone here was sh*tting on him a season before this one, because he was so crap, and this year he didnt even play much. but its Fenerbahce, what do they know :).

Starting XI
he was starting quite regularily towards the end of this season, and had some really good performances

i'm guessing that boosted his price, along with his NT performances

MORATTI: "JUST A COURTESY VISIT"
Monday, 18 July 2005 21:56:03

MILAN - "It was just a courtesy meeting," said Massimo Moratti on leaving the Saras offices about this afternoon's visit of Juventus general director Luciano Moggi. "He thought he'd see me at the Lega Calcio. I wasn't there and he came to see me here," Moratti said to journalists.

Replying to a question about possible negotiations for Cristiano Zanetti, the Inter patron said: "No, there's not the material for other operations, nothing in particular, absolutely." And on any possible Nerazzurri interest in Gianluca Zambrotta or Mauro German Camoranesi, Moratti replied with a smile: "But how many players do we have to get?"

Moratti was also asked if there is any news on Walter Samuel and Luis Figo. "We could do something in the coming days and we will also see in which direction," he said. "But these things aren't gratis, so there's no economic optimism, but there is sporting optimism because there is the will to do so."
