I can't, that is legend.

Whatever, happens to the best =\ And it is quite normal in the summer to forget the days and stuff, I know I do.

Forza Suarez! (ps brotha can you spare a dime?)
Yeah for some reason I thought today was the 21st, and that picture on the last page didn't help either cus it didn't have the second leg score atleast I'm honest and didn't delete my post. :chew: Shocking result tho, wtf happened to Villareal.

I remember kind of the same happening to me concerning one of last season's UEFA Cup semi-finals 2nd leg results, I said something like "they'll turn this around in the second leg".
couldn't help laughing my ass off at myself after realizing how retarded that post was (H)

bottom line is, you'll live ;)

and yeah, Villarreal f'cked up real bad.
also it was nice to see Newcastle recover, don't ask me why but they've always been my favourite English team. that feeling faded quite a bit after seeing Souness become their manager though, fortunately he's gone now and hopefully will never return.

The biggest surprise is Hibernian who didn't advance to the next round.

That's the first ever time I've heard anything about Hibs going out being a surprise. :kader:

Out before the season begins again! :D

Villarreal had three players sent off. Forlan punched a Maribor player twice.

Pasion will surely brag bout this record too, i mean twice? For a country with only 4 million ppl having a player that punches someone twice is quite the feat.

Uruguay also had a player at the '86 WC who managed to get himself sent off after 1 minute.

Now there's an achievement!

:D lol

It's actually 3 million (well 3.2). And yeah, in Uruguay people are extremely proud of the rough image. :D (Though Forlan is most peaceful player in Uruguay history, and that says something after his push)

It's sort of Interesting. When I was in Austria last month they were speaking of the Holland-vs.-Portugual game as the worst and most disgraceful game ever.

while in Uruguay it was all but officially voted "Greatest game of all time" LoL

Watch maybe my proudest moment as a montero fan: (i almost cried)

Yeah, we held on the entire 90 minutes to qualify. (Scotland had a great team that year). The foul was on Gordan Strachan too (Celtic coach). <And It might have been less than a minute, like 30 seconds>

Also to show my point about "Different views in different nations", after the game Fergusson (the Man U manager was coach of Scotland back then after his incredible stint with Aberdeen), called Uruguay's 9 men back defending as "The most disgraceful thing in history", while in URuguay's media they were glorifying it as "The most incredible and brave feat in many years!"

Just funny I always thought (the differences)

But that game is pretty special to me (As I love everythign about Scotland and their football, as I <and many others> always saw Scotland as the "Uruguay of Europe" (In that, small population yet incredibly proud, huge football tradition, small version of the famous neighbour <Argentina/England>, almost identical football structures <league, national team, type of fans>)

That was the 2nd time i believed we only faced (0-0 draw), the one before was in 1954 WORld CuP when we won 7-0.

By the way man, is it true that Pinilla (Chilean player) has recently joined Hearts on a loan??? (he's a pretty good player. He'd do well in Hearts.)

I rest my case.

Actually Villarreal just needs a decent "10" or playmaker. I saw both games. Nihat and Forlan both played well throughout, it was just that there was no conenction between the midfield and the forwards (they'd get 1-2 chances per game at most).

Villarreal dont even have anyone to replace Riquelme for 1-2 games. Jesus, there are so many in south america who would love to go to Villarreal too.

Ah yeah what's with the slovenian TV and the lacks of the replays, i didn't even get why Gonzalo Rodriguez got a red card even, the other 2 were fair but i didn't really see what happened with that one? Also he should've sent off Tacchinardi for picking that player in the nose, also i don't get why didn't he show a direct red for Forlan instead of showing a yellow, so like if he would have not been booked before he would've been able to finish the game?:nape:
