Inter Milan Thread

This is the Inter Milan introductory thread of season number 2011-2012.*
*2011-2012 by Gregorian Calendar.

The colours of the team are black and blue because of that this club is very kick ass.

Who would think to put black and blue together? Its not a light blue.

Its not even a light blue, its a dark blue. This club has the most kick-ass dark to dark colour ration of any Fifa assosiated registrd club.

I sometimes find soccer extremely ironic. Coutinho is a lustful manifestation of the Inter vs AC rivalry. A quick, skillful Brazilian attacking midfielder. Ten years younger than the previous.

Stéphane Dalmat! (H) would rep you, but it won't let me so soon after the previous occasion ...

Van Gaal would be great for 1 year. He'd bring along all these massive talents that don't see much of the field. Santon, Destro, Coutinho.

But yeah, then they'd have to get out after that 1 year.
I can see him benching and trying to get rid of some of the established legends, not least Javier Zanetti, for which he would face an immediate backlash from the tifosi, and especially the crazy ultras -- expediting his exit within a matter of months ...

Theres a defender too, Criseteg. Huge potential, but who can tell.
Crisetig is a central mid, but yeah a lot is expected of him ... Mattia Destro (striker) is another big talent; he's already out on loan at Genoa, banking first team experience points ...

so many footie sites are running the André Villas-Boas story ... but it ignores the fact that Moratti explicitly said today/yesterday that he wouldn't be going after contracted coaches yet ... I'd personally like to see Gasperini's attacking philosophy given a shot at the highest level, but he falls into the same category too (for the time being) ...
well Gasperini is amongst the candidates apparently, which is great to hear
...

but with Villas-Boas going to the Chels, and Capello staying with England, guess who Inter have suddenly pushed to the top of their list? the Guus!

would be interesting to see what he can do in Italy ... one of the immediate advantages is that it could help with the Wesley situation ... and he'll know Samu, having handed him his debut at Real Madrid ...

Think I saw in the Chelsea thread that Guus would still be going to Stamford Bridge, only as the Sporting Director. Not sure why he'd get mixed up in Italy at this stage in his career.

Guus will either come as sporting director or not at all, depending on who you believe. He apparently has issues with working every day and having to deal with so much, so I don't see why that'd be different at Inter.

maybe coz not everyone is an anti-Italian bigot like you, man ... but who's to say, right?

Guus really only has to decide whether he wants an executive role, or if he still wants the day-to-day bustle once more in his life ... either way, he'll get paid tons, so it really is all about the lifestyle choice ...

I honestly think he'll pick the former, but it would be interesting to see how much he's tempted by coaching a club again, if at all ...

The Italian league sucks, everyone knows it except ridiculous Romaphiles and actual Italians. Slow pace, catenaccio, and bribes! Awesome!

hah, philistine! lowbrow constant counterattacking is the antithesis of the cerebral nature of a tactical contest ... you like one, I like the other ...

and the fact that you talk about catenaccio shows how little you know about contemporary calcio ...

I hope that the English commentary argument doesn't hold water for you; surely you're about the game, and not about what some numpty is telling you what's going on ...

Inter in some trouble, eh? The news is just breaking in Italy, but head prosecutor of the Calciopoli (II) trials, Palazzi, just declared Inter violated articles 1 and 6 of the sporting conduct. Juve only violated the first article, but multiple times so they somehow added it up to a 6 and put Juve in Serie B... A violation of article 6 always means relegation.

So yeah, good luck with that, ''honest club''. Maybe club legend Stephane Dalmat will want to represent you in Serie B!

it shows the angle Moratti is adopting in response to the recent FIGC allegations against Inter's foremost of club legends, the late Giacinto Facchetti, defending what he/they believe to be an unacceptable attack on his chaste character ...

Internazionale

Elo Ratings
July 18th (mid-July) is the decision.

IMO, the Scudetto titles should be never reassigned to any clubs (2004/05) & (2005/06). Return them to FIGC. Thus, no winners.
