I can see Sneijder playing as false 9 ((H)) like Laudrup does in the past, but wouldn't make sense since Inter have Milito and Forlán.

Why is Gasperini playing a 3-4-3 having such great fullbacks like Maicon and Nagatomo?!

I think Maicon is injured!!!! Many current players will find it hard to adapt into this system.

Well if its a 3-4-3 Maicon can play on the right of the midfield, since they need to track back too to cover the opposition wing.

New coach was hired precisely because it does work, and Inter have the kind of hard working CMs, not to mention the wingbacks, to run it very well. They just don't have the wingers. Might not be the worst idea to adapt to Sneijder behind two more traditional strikers who go wide. Not as a false 9 though, rather Sneijder would be a pure #10.

The forwards we have are okay for it, I don't like having to play 3 centre defenders tho, and none of them are that great on the ball (Lucio is okay).

Sneijder can play centre midfield but I don't know what this system requires him to do defensively so an attacking mid position would have been better for him (e.g. he was played on the left wing). Speaking of the left wing we don't have any good players for it.

I wish we kept Eto'o and Pandev and played a 4-3-3 with them on the wings cutting inside (Eto'o on left, Pandev on right). Sneijder as the advanced centre mid, Motta beside him as a deeper lying passer and Cambiasso behind them.

It seems the new coach has a system and isn't very adaptive so we'll have to give him more time. The only positive is the number of goals since Inter has a been a pretty defensive side in the last few (many) years.

Good old Mourinho style.

Btw, I think Pandev could be more useful in this new system than Zarate.

the only thing worse than not starting Zárate is starting him, and then taking him off in the first half, right after the team takes the lead ...

Gasperini should have found a spot for Wes from the start ... having decided not to, he should have stuck to his guns for at least 1 half ...

Mourinho's 4-2-1-3 was the best ... this team still has the personnel for it ...

Gasperini always used the 3-4-3 system, simple......if u dont like it fire him lol, Mou is now playing that way in Madrid.....

simple? haha, yeah, of course it is ...

I'll address the 3-4-3 everyone knows about ... Gasperini "experimented" with 4 defenders in the preseason, but he felt uncomfortable ... the 3-4-3 setup he used in the Supercoppa worked well for the first half ... that's the one that allowed Wes a free role ...

shame Gasp hasn't settled on his ideas ... but it's better to learn lessons before the Champions League match ...
