Inter Milan Thread (2004 - 2005)

Actually, it was 8.

The reason is that he was not given enough playing time by Zach, and when ever ZAch played him, he was played on the right wing.

Who da Phuck plays a natural striker on the right wing!!!!!!

His record for Nigeria is 3 goals in 3 games.

he always looked like he was a striker when he played.

At this point in his career, i think Martins is best used as a sub in the 60-65 minute mark. If he works on his ball control, and 'running with ball' technique he'll be a much better player.

I think we are talking about diff Martins' here.

1.) Nigerians ae born with ball control. Its thier birth right

2.) Running with the ball techniques??? are u joking me. please watch Martins again.

If Inter uses him as a sub, he will leave them and go else were. Somewere he would be appreciated.

"Obagol" Martins often stumbles around with the ball, and some of his nicer goals look like they happend by mistake. Hes prob the fastest player in the world, maybe a little too fast for himself to handle. Anyone who watches Inter will agree that he does stumble.

Its a nickname, just like El Jardinero for Cruz or Tritolo for Vieri. Obafemi Martins is now to be known only as "Obagol" in this thread and thats final :crazyboy: (H)

Anywayz I agree with you Mikey, Martins sometimes stumbles because he is going so fast and he also sometimes out runs the ball causing him to lose it. Though I'm sure with more experience (he's only 18...) practice, and more chances to shine he will become an even better player.

Yup, he has potential to be truly unstoppable. They shouldve loaned him out for a season to a club like Lazio or Parma, where he could start every game, and get the rest of his game up to par. Hes really one of the most exciting players out there. Whenever he gets the ball, i take notice.

Heres an example of him stumbling (but still scoring)

Well here is Inter's group for the CL...

Valencia
Internazionale
Anderlecht
Werder Bremen

Its a tough group having the UEFA Cup winners and the German champions. I also think Anderlecht won the Belgium League right?

Anywayz I think Inter can win or atleast come second but it won't be easy.

no, i think this season Inter will concentrate on the Seria-A, so they will not reach the top-16, besides the other teams are rather strong, especially Valencia

I think Valencia get first in this group but Inter and W Bremen battle for the last qualifying position. Anderlecht will keep close, but IMO they will finish last in the group. I think Inter will probably head into the next round.

tough group, all teams are really good (actually the 32 teams are strong, I could not find a easy group!)...

Valencia, UEFA cup's winner, spain Champion's ;
Werder Bremen : German champion's; that's impressive as well.
Inter Milan ; they are stronger than last year, they are really good.
RSC Anderlecht ; my team :) , we can beat anyone in our stadium, be aware, and if our trainer dare a little bit more outside, we'll surprise more than one...

I cannot make a pronostic, I hope ...

1. Anderlecht
2. Valencia
3. Milan
4. Bremen

but everything is possible... Anderlecht is clearly underdog, that's when we are the most dangerous.

Even if there main goal is Scudetto, Inter has many 'champions' players like Veron, Davids and Vieri who will want the CL just as much. Inter-Valencia will be an amazing game tho.

Most importantly, Adriano in CL:rockman:

Hendrik

Team Captain
Werder Bremen are a dark horse in that competition. Their players have no CL experience but they are an excellent team nonetheless.

It's gonna be interesting.

The teams great depth will definately be a plus in fighting for both the CL and the League. We can field this midfield lineup for the Serie A

Kily/Cesar----Emre-------C. Zanetti----Ze Maria

and still have on just as impressive, if not more, for the Champions League

Stankovic----Davids-----Veron-----Van der Meyde

Now that is depth :mrpimp:

Inter in for Jankulovski

Internazionale have entered the race to snap up Marek Jankulovski from Udinese.

Inter are already locked in a race with Juventus to sign Aparecido Cesar from Lazio - and will now rival the Turin side for Jankulovski.

Udinese will also consider a substantial bid for the player from CSKA Moscow - who are keen to build a top squad for the UEFA Champions League.

Udinese will feel that they can get a good price for the Czech star - who played a key role for his nation at Euro 2004.

Jankulovski ruled out a move to Tottenham earlier in the summer because he wanted to remain in Italy.

===========================

First of all, if Marek said he wanted to remain in Italy, why would he go to CSKA.

Anyways, out of Marek and Cesar, i think Marek is the better player of the two, but i was hoping hed go to Juve tho.

because CSKA will offer him a very good money? don't forget that the main sponsor of CSKA is Abramovich's "Sibneft".
