About Cannavaro, i predicted them as Scudetto champs, but their reluctance to keep Cannavaro and Mancini favouring a Materazzi-Cordoba partnership changes everything. All i can say is that a team with Cordoba and Materazzi as their central defender will not be the champions of Italy, hell even Udinese has a better central defence. So, unless they keep Cannavaro or Burdisso becomes a great player this season (good possibility) i think the drought will continue, which is a shame when you see that EVERY other part of their team is amazing.

Keegan scoffs at Anelka bid

Manchester City manager Kevin Keegan has confirmed Monaco's loan bid for Nicolas Anelka was a "joke offer", as he wants to keep the French forward.

With Internazionale lurking in the background, Keegan is hopeful City's board will not agree to sell last term's top scorer to boost the club's coffers.

"You need to talk to the chairman," said the City boss when asked if the former Arsenal attacker will leave this month.

"But I don't want to see players like Nicolas walk out of the door.

"I didn't come here to dismantle a team. I came here to build one."

Anelka is a great player, and i think hes ready to play at a big club again. By the way, wats with Monaco? why would City loan him there, for no fee, are Monaco that arrogant?

I'm very excited about Inter's chances this season. Great players, a great young coach, I don't remember the last time there was such a buzz around Inter going into a new season...

What great playes??? every year Inter collects many junks. Only good players that inter has: Cannavaro, Adriano, Vieri, Davids,J.Zanneti
Mihailovis is to old, Veron sucks, and the others also suck, I think inter should sign young players.

I think when they realise this thing they will succed again. Anyway I wish them good luck because is my favorite team from Italy....

Veron wasn't fit for the English style of play. He never adapted to the faster pace and rougher play and he also became injury prone due to that. Thats why he sucked in England. But the Serie A version of Veron was one of the best players in the world and if he can go back to that form than he will definately be the opposite of suck. And so far he has had some impressive displays for the side. When he gets more minutes into his legs and gets his rhythm back I'm sure he can take Inter to the top of the mountain :rockman:
