some more pics of the man of the hour

I feel strongly now he'll be leading our defence this season...nothing concrete has come out about him wanting to leave, this makes me very happy, I think we can have a serious run an all fronts if he is healthy and has a good season.

they should be our cb dou...I've always preferred Cordoba and Cannavaro but Cordoba is sometimes liable, also they are both short so Materazzi or Burdisso along side Cannavaro or Cordoba would probably be more likely

although Cordoba has more pre-season minutes than any player so he's going to feature alot this season

I also have been hoping that Cannavaro and Cordoba would be the main pair.

Anywayz I think they should start together unless we come up against some really tall striker then Matrix should be used.

Though I also have high hopes for Burdisso who I think can grab a starting spot.

Cordoba is crap (and the most overrated CB in the world)
Materazzi is crap
Mihaljovicic is crap, but at can cross and FK

Burdisso and Cannavaro is the best pairing there is.

Well it looks like Cannavaro won't be coming to Madrid.

I hope he stays with Inter instead of going to Juve.:p

For watever reason, Real are gonna pay $16M for a player that is injured more than hes healthy. If they did in fact "snub" cannavaro (which i doubt) for Woodgate, than i cant understand their logic.

did Inter's first team play against Navaro and Iraklis today?

Inter was split into 2 different teams today, one taking on Navaro and Iraklis in a mini-tournie and another taking on Genoa in a friendly.

Inter beat Iraklis 2-1 but lost against Navaro in PKs. Though Inter won the whole thing.

The other Inter side lost to Genoa, 1-0.

Inter assess Fabio future

Friday 20 August, 2004

Inter have admitted that they are willing to listen to offers for international captain Fabio Cannavaro.

"It all depends if a bid is made, what offer we receive and the desire of the player," stated President Giacinto Facchetti.

The legend made the statement with regards to talk that Real Madrid were keen on the international.

That move now looks unlikely though, given the probable Spanish switch of Newcastle’s Jonathan Woodgate, but Juventus are still keen on the stopper.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri chief confirmed that his club are still attempting to sign Cesar from Lazio.

"He is our primary objective but if Lazio keep upping the stakes then we’ll pull out of the move," he added.

Turning to on the field matters, Facchetti was pleased with the return of Christian Vieri from injury.

"It was important that he has recovered," he stated after Vieri played against Novara on Thursday.

"He demonstrated that he was hungry to do well. With a little more time, he will soon be back in good form."

I'm gonna stop guessing...apparently he's not a player they feel is vital to the club.

8/20/2004 2:22:00 PM

Andy van der Meyde has snubbed a move to Everton in order to stay in Italy and fight his place at Inter Milan.

"Everton were interested in signing van der Meyde but they did not make an official offer to the club," said his agent Chiel Dekker.

"He had a difficult first season at Inter but he is looking forward for the coming campaign," he added.

"He is willing to fight for a place in the team."

no offence but didn't think he would want to play for Everton
