Yah, what the hell is the deal with the lack of fans in that shot, and the huge crowd in that other one?

Edit: Ahh, thanks Forza. Guess I shoulda used my brain :$

Well Lecce isn't exactly a team that would attract the massive crowds, and why would you want to sit at the endzone when you can sit in the middle and see everything

-My haphazard and frantic like thoughts on the game.......

-Cambi, damnit! He should've put Martin's rebounded ball away......

-Veron's backheel maneuver to get past the opposing player......so sweet, so Bergkamp-esque

-Awesome goal on the counter by Lecce.....totally against the run of play. We beat on them like a rented government mule and yet they still found a way to score on us....sheesh. A coked-up dominatrix chewing on monkey adrenaline glands couldn've done a better job of imposing one's superiority than us in the first half

-Stanko's squandered chance.......grrr

-Adriano's squandered chance..........grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

This was in my opinion our best game, offensively speaking. If we give a tenth of this performance against Lecce in our second leg against Porto, we should be fine for the Elite Eight. I mean, we're already fine and in control in that circumstance as we speak, but we definitely need to come out with the same formation and commitment to the attack.

-if there ever was a game you wanted to use as advertisement for the great league of Serie A to change the ardent preconceived notions of say a Bundesligaer, an EPLer, or a SPLer (and maybe in the process convert them to the Inter Milan way of life) this game would definitely be it, man.

-first half.........11 shots on goal, 23mins of possession.....only 6mins of possession against us......MAMALUCIOUS Mamadou!

-Adriano's complete ****up in the second min of the second half.........grr...grr....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

-Cambi's involvement in our attack was just unbelievable......was this dude playing DM, or AM? I sure as **** couldn't tell the difference

-Veron's long balls......mouth watering. Dazzling stuff, really. It was what we all expected of him when he first arrived here. Too bad he can't provide those same sort of balls against team's with a pressing Midfield/attack

-the penalty...........deserved, but rather anti-climatic. Would've loved to have gotten the victory in open play because we really did create enough chances to have not only won the game, but also to have set a world record for the most goals scored by any professional soccer outfit, man. We were just that creative and potent in the attack, but unfortunately our finishing led us down big time, man

VDM's subbing......seriously, WTF? This was utterly baffling and unnecessary. There have been plenty of situations in which we could've used a three man striking force this season, but yesterday wasn't one of them. VDM was providing for us an outlet on the wings we haven't had much of this year and he was making a good use of himself in the time he was on the pitch. A lot of our chances came from long balls directed at him that he turned into goal-scoring chances for us, man. I finally felt that we were going to have one game where Mancini's boneheaded decisions weren't going to come into play and the dude insisted on making a fool of himself yet again......is okay, is okay, though. The bottom line is we got the much needed victory.

BTW, after Fava bean's subbing......we didn't have a single native on the pitch.....how cool was that, man?

lmao excellent summary, The Ambiguously Gay Duo ahaha.

Not sure what is wrong with Stankovic, but he can't kick a ball if he tried.

VDM was excellent.. He provides something the rest of the Inter team can't (besides J. Zanetti) and that is fantastic runs down the wings. I would like to see him used more.

A well needed victory. I guess some of the pressure is off since we can't reach 1st or even second for that matter. But the side shouldn't start throwing matches away again since Samp is ahead of us in 3rd and there are some other teams close behind.

BTW good game for VDM who might have booked his spot in the first team lineup as a LW. Interesting how Mancini used him on the left and Stankovic on the right. You would have thought he would switch them around.

BTW our finishing definatley has to improve. After the beginning of the season where our offense was unstoppable, things have definately turned sour.

Recoba breaks ankle
by Nadia Carminati - created on 8 Mar 2005

Alvaro Recoba could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after a training ground injury was revealed to be more serious than originally anticipated.
Recoba went in for scans on a suspected twisted ankle, but was told that he had fractured a bone.
The Uruguayan star will now face at least a month on the sidelines.
Recoba has never fully established himself as a regular under coach Roberto Mancini - but his injury exacerbates a growing problem for Inter's strikers.
Adriano is not at full fitness after an injury and Obafemi Martins has back problems.
On top of this Christian Vieri is still trying to shake off a longstanding knee problem - leaving Mancini with something of a selection crisis.

:( :( :( We always get the bad luck, hopefully Adriano has finally found his form, and Martins' injury isnt as bad as it seems. Vieri as well.

A striker crisis? Damn it :f***:

I guess it's great we didn't sell Cruz after all then since he's our only healthy striker. If none of the top 4 can make it then I wonder who would be called up from the Primavera side to play. Other than Eliakwu (whose loaned out) or Altobelli (also loaned out) I can't think of any known strikers that we have. :o

We should play with Cruz as a loner striker (if he's the only one healthy)

and then 5 midfielders, we can pull it off

What about Adriano? He might not be back into top form, but he still needs to play in order to achieve it. I would like to see this setup

Adriano and Cruz up front with VDM midfield on the wing to compliment Javier Zanetti's wonderful runs on the opposite side of the field. If we can get our wing play going, Inter will be a much better team.

Adriano with Cruz up front and with VDM and Stanko on either side.

Sheesh.....we've got like 6 former Laziali on our squad at the moment so they better have SS type security for our players and especially for the more recent traitors.

Honour as Lazio decide Scudetto

Juventus are new Champions of Italy, thanks to Lazio's surprise - but convincing - defeat of Inter at the Stadio Olimpico. Against all expectations and accusations, Lazio defended the integrity of Italian football, defying their fans and foes alike to win 4-2 in a passionate and exciting confrontation. Meanwhile Juventus won away against Udinese to sail past Inter to the Scudetto, followed by Roma, whose defeat of Torino took them into second place.
