Players like Henry, Ljunberg, Pires, Vieira and van Persie barely cost anything at all, especially considering how much they'd be worth today. So your point is basically moot, because Arsenal did amazing things with a limited amount of money.

Haha..Serie A now has more goals per weekend than the premiership!!!! Thats life!!! I've always rated Premiership as second best! How can Serie A be defensive when they are playing more 3-5-2 and 4-4-2 formations than anyone in the premiership and also getting good goals every weekend. Man to Man Serie A would own premiership! Look at the quality of teams like Lecce, Fiorentina, Palermo, Livorno, Sampdoria. Those teams are more than a match for teams like Middlesborough and West Brom. Their technical side is way superior. I'm English so theres no bias.
