What a night it was! The Holy Snitsky Empire Wanderers started of their first match by an incredible win against the Royals, the Northern Virginia-team run by Colombian drug cartels.

On the goals....
Brian Mengerink started this game like any other hick from Ohio would do: by scoring early. He surprised everyone with the early opening since he had spend the hours before the match watching the NASCAR 500 race. Mengerink spent the next 8 minutes on the sidelines--not to nurse an injury, but to check how the NASCAR 500 race. It infuriated Snitsky, who commanded Mengerink to get back into the field. He celebrated his re-entrance with a goal: it was 2-0. (Mengerink would later receive a standing ovation when the assured the Royals right back an early retirement).

In the second half, Azizzada made a run into the 16 but settled for an corner. Ewan's cross from the corner came in to the edge of the area. Hall took it on his chest, sliced it with the left peg. It went into the top corner and the match was over with a 3-0 lead.

With 20 minutes to go in the game, Sharpe--stylishly donning a kilt--played to ball to Brandon, who played it back. Sharpe passed it to Brandon once again when he manged to get some space. However, the desperate Royals defenders closed down. "I hit the abort mission button," Brandon would comment after the game. The penalty would've decapitated the Royals keeper if he had not ducked.

It was not over yet. Even though the HSEW had a commanding 4-0 lead, Snitsky and 10 of his fellow teammates surrounded the Royals' half. They were acting as if it were a training ground and out of nowhere came Ewan's screamer. It brought back memories of the pre-Greece days when the game was beautiful.

Not all was perfect, I'm sad to say. Problem child and Edinburgh-native Sharpe was sent off for punching the Royals captain, Marcus. Even though it was received by the public with a "thumbs up," Snitsky was not happy. The Royals captain had squared up to Hall and Sharpe would have none of that. Sharpe came from Markos' right to hit him with a fierceful blast in the jaw. Marcus went down and didn't get up that night. Camera's caught Sharpe mouthing off and you did not need to know how to read lips to understand what he was saying: "Remember that ****, bitch."

The best thing about this game? They beat the Royals and the HSEW isn't a team that bought players with Russian peasant blood.

It's great having an experienced player like Halls alongside you, I reckon that enabled the rest of the back four to concentrate on their own games and organise themselves.

I'm going make a bid for the club, and when I win, I run this shit into the ground, unless I get a spot next to my darling Nick on the bench. (H) :chick:

Rhino's fan speaks of desire to pull on shirt

Rochester Rhino's fan Kyle Beikirch has spoken of his desire to pull on the famous HSEW black shirt and play for the team. Kyle, a known supported of Black Magic and Witches, was once a Rhino's fan, however in a sudden change of heart, he says his loves lies with Snitsky's club.
Speaking yesterday, Kyle said "The past is behind me, the future is ahead, and i want my future to be with HSWE, Gene and Dragan. I'm going to leave the green colours of Rochester behind me, and black will be my new white. I LOVE THIS CLUB"
HSEW started their pre-season schedule yesterday, with an emphatic 5-0 win over the Royals. After the game, Azizzada spoke of his dissapointment to not get his hands on Royals captain Marcus. "If i'd a gotta me hands on that ****, boy i tell you...Gene would a been proud. There would be no daylight between no and next week for that fella. I would have left a fist imprint on his face"
Legendry wing-back, Bill Ko, simply said " Gerrin' thur lads" (translated by captain sharpe)

The last time a team from the Empire beat a team from South Dakota it was March the 17th 1990, East Fife came to town and won 1-0 against Brookings City through a sublime Mike Hall finish.

Hall returns to that state today, this time in the Wanderers defense.

Hall starts along side Koh in the center of the park, flanked on either side by Brandon (left) and Ko (right).

Four in midfield today stimming from Sharpe's one match ban for violent play. Langdon starts on the right with Ewan continuing up the left flank. Flores adds bite to the middle, Azizzada will supply the strikers.

Tucakovic returns at the top to partner Mengerink, Stern John waiting on the bench.

The team had one massive decision to make, that was in goal. Zach Thornton takes his place due to a head injury to captain Snitsky.
