Fix for Team Experience bug in Manager Mode

Best bet would have been to post the messages here and then I could tell you whether or not they were a problem. In general warnings (displayed in yellow in the GUI front-end) are fine whereas error messages (displayed in red) are more likely to be an issue. However, there are exceptions depending upon what you are trying to do (and therefore which switches are set when calling FF10DUMP)question_id;2866170 said:

Well, i was too hasty in declaring all was fine. The team exp thing gave many probs i didnt notice bcuz i had simulated the matches to check if it worked.
The team chemistry got stuck again at 61 (since i had not saved my MM after the simulations). After i reapplied your fix:
1. Many of my players magically became red carded, and some of them remained red carded for quiet some matches.
2. My team chem went down to 59 for no reason (though it climed back up to 60, remained there for a few matches, them went to 62 and after another few matches went to 63).
3. I shut the game once it reached 63, and now when i continue playing, the chemistry doesnt increase. When i tried applying the patch again, my chem went down to 59 so i deleted the MM folder and replaced it with the backup i had made just before applying it.
When i apply it, the messages that are generated are:

Please don't use the team chemistry as an indicator of whether or not the fix has worked. Team chemistry is affected by a number of factors so the best check is to see if you have players whose team experience grows above 5.question_id;2867946 said:

which is fairly unequivocal in telling you not to run the fix more than once against the same saved game file. Unfortunately there is simply no way that I can tell whether or not the fix has been applied to any given saved game file, so I have to rely on folk following those instructions.
There is nothing in those messages to suggest that the database was changed on that pass, so the fix has already been applied to FIFA.DB previously (as you'd expect). If your backup is definitely from before applying the fix for the first time, then the linequestion_id said:
"Saved data in B. Manager - Ais\B. Manager - Ais successfully updated"
tells you that the saved game has been corrected and if you use that game without running the fix a second or subsequent time it should work. Use the team experience to tell you whether or not the fix has worked (players in your starting 11 that had a team experience of five before applying the fix should grow steadily thereafter, although not necessarily at exactly one per game because there is a penalty for playing out of position and there are some oddities with regard to, for instance, RCB being out of position for a CB even though there are no players in the default database with RCB as a preferred position)

Would I be right in guessing that you chose India from the country selection when setting up your manager?? @question_id: The manager mode folder that you emailed to me confirms my suspicion that you've run the team experience more than once on the same manager mode saved game file. Check your mail for a little more feedback but everything in my post above holds good.

Oh, and further to my comments above about team chemistry not necessarily reacting immediately, one of the things I noticed about question_id's manager mode team was that he has a big squad (42) and that will definitely make it harder to push chemistry up. from the FIFA 08 forums. To the best of my knowledge none of the information in the two posts linked through to has changed, although we no longer have the same concerns over player fatigue.

As stated elsewhere in this thread, this is not the latest version. You should have received details of a patch to v1.3.8 in an email on 5th May. Update FF10DUMP_public from the ZIP file and try running a new analysis from EAFFAnalyser. Steve, i had finished the third season.. i made some changes to my team in the fourth season but didnt play any matches.. then i went away for some days.
When i came back home, i put three players on the transfer list, and tried going to the Match Setup page by clicking 'Next Match'. The background of the next page opened but nothing else was showing for a few second.. then my game crashed! when i started the game again and went back to my manager mode, i again put three players on the transfer list, saved the Mmode and tried opening the Match Setup page again but the same thing happened! I tried it many times with the same result..
I then tried opening my old backup Mmode file..(in which im in the middle of 3rd season) and it works properly..
Could this proble be cuz i applied ur patch too many times? I had really made a lot of progress in that half season and made some really good transfers.. please help me fix this .. im gonna cry!

Unlikely, it sounds more like you've got more than 45 players on your team now. Run EAFFAnalyser against that saved game, with all fix flags turned off for now, and see if it generates errors. If there are reports about too many players or missing entries in tables then try ticking just the 'fix 30 player limit problems' check box and run again. Pay careful attention to the output messages from that process because there are several situations that will prevent the fix working, especially not having enough room on the shortlist to provide a link to players removed from your team. Once you get a clean run with that fix active then you should be able to carry on with your manager mode.question_id;2879016 said:

is it possible to undo this fix cuz i want to keep the 30 player limitation. otherwise i tend to go overboard buying and scouting players
