As much as I like Figo I found this ridiculous, if he's really coming back what was the point of retiring after EURO? Honestly i don't understand this whole thing and the fact that Scolari and the Portuguese Federation always claiming his return, like we use to say "o que está feito está feito"... well if he's returning I wish he can play at his best level otherwise this will be useless...

Circunstancies change. When he "retired" it was after a big disappointment and a long season, so he was probably "drained" mentally and physically. With the playing time he is having in Real Madrid and the fact that our Nt without any doubt needs him for these crucial games, i think it´s perfectly understandable that he came back. Anyways, i tend to disagree with the negativity of your post because it´s more than obvious that we need him and he proved this year in Real Madrid that he can still be an asset for our Nt. I also find it hard to believe that you can think that he is coming here to be useless and bring nothing to our team. He is an example of professionalism and was without any doubt the most influencial figure of our Nt in the last decade. I want him back and i appreciate his effort to come and help us again. He gives us much more guarantees than Simão or Luis Boa Morte who are rather sluggish and don´t play as in club level in our "selecção".

a fit and commited figo is still the best portugese player by far if you ask me.If he isn't fit and commited he's still better than simao...so he's welcome either way

he doesn't have to...we have 4 and a half other world class players besides figo...(deco,ronaldo,ferreira,carvalho and maniche )...and figo is far more than "decent"
