Hello,
In expectation to a solution you can try that. Look in the support forum at fifa.fat. That is what I does now and it works okay. Thanks to vannucchi

Just disable the live protection of your AV when you are playing the game.
Your AV should have an option to ignore the file or to put in a kind of "white list".

Whatever i do AVG and AVIRA blocking program and wont open it coz it says theres an error,is there anyone who can fix this for few of us who have problem and give us fixed version?

I finally got past the bloody antivirus saying it was a virus but now I have another problem. Whenever I try to start it, it says

"Windows can not access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access this file."

I had that problem as well. Are you using AVG? The problem is when you disable the anti-virus, you don't disable it completly. it still tries to restrict access to certain files.

Also, with the free versions of AVG and Avira, you can't add files to the ignore list, so the only thing you can do is uninstall your current anti-virus and get a new one.

I got rid of AVG I got Nod32 and that works fine with the new fifa.exe file and to be honest, it's a much much better anti-virus.

I'm afraid there is no other way around it.

Thanks that did the trick. However it also seemed to get rid of other files that where part of the game and I had to reinstall the game.

where do i unzip the big-fat.exe ?in my fifa08?and where can i look my fifa.fat?in my data folder i have the fifa.fat file which have 266 kb size and the big-fifa.fat which has 536 kb size..please help..!

As i understood, and as I used it... this file is a new Fifa08.exe

Me i replaced my old Fifa 08.exe by this one... and have no problem (sure I made a save of the old one and use also the save/recovery tools)

Confirm that with other users, but it's working like this for me

you don´t need to replace the old one, you can copy the fifaß8-bigfat.exe in the main directory and start directly with this exe, without replacing the original exe
