I actually thought Lucho was always fender's favourite, he even picked him in the draft last year!

He's mine for sure, top class player and person. THE captain.

Oh come one, them wanting to leave is only natural. The whole "crying to the press" is just agents and tabloids doing their work.

It started 3 seasons ago after the Europa League final, and kept happening at every end of season after that, including this one. You don't usually see our players publicly and blatantly stating that they want to leave us, that's my point.
I'm not saying he doesn't perform after the transfer windows go by, far from it since he's definitely been one of our most important and regular players season after season, but I just don't like his big mouth.

No, but I can find you tons of links quoting him saying it. And so can you, just google it :p

He basically says that he wants to earn more money and get called-up to the Brazilian NT, and that it won't happen unless he moves to a different team in a bigger league.

I'm not saying he hasn't, though. Though I rather have a whiny guy who keeps saying he wants to leave and then deliver season after season of best player of the team performances then have a crap guy saying he loves the club. Make no mistake, it's all good that Lucho did what he did, but if it was a poor player you wouldn't really care that he wanted to return, NOR would we have bought him back. Sapunaru loves the club, but I still like him far away.

One more thing about Bernard: €6,5M for 30%. A bit unusual or, dare I say it, fucked up, but apparently it was the possible deal.
