71% possession, 65 attacks, 23 shots...now, that is more like it (H)

Well done by VP setting up the team for this one, making a few changes that actually were in order.
Excellent game by the whole team, especially Lucho and the fullbacks.

Alex Sandro was incredibly good, I'd even say better than Alvaro in his better day.
Solid in defense and extremely incisive going forward....I love it!
Also, it was a bit unfair to Miguel Lopes to get benched in favour of Danilo, but the truth is that the brazilian adds a different dimension to our game...he's a footballing beast.

James lost his spot to Atsu, and rightly so. His performances had been subpar considering what he can do and what the team needs from him. Atsu did pretty good, and it was nice to see James being subbed in and immediately making a positive impact on our football.

If the success of this squad was to deppend exclusively on the talent we have aboard, I'd say our future is looking bright :cb:

I'd still prefer Varela instead of Atsu, but he'll do I think. James has always been better in the center, he's great coming on for Lucho.

Varela is looking lively again, guess that goal at the Euros did good to his morale. Still, I think Atsu is doing well enough to deserve the starting spot.

Anyway, always nice to know we aren't short on quality options, since hopefully this is gonna be a long season.

Porto peeps, it seems that you guys played against a Chelsea youngster this week, Milan Lalkovic, who is a winger who came on in the 65th minute. I heard he was poor, but anyone caught a glimpse of him in this one? Any thoughts?

I was at stadium and noticed him warming up before being subbed in because he has a loud, stupid ass haircut.
Other than that I didn't get to see much of him, but Guimarães did Carlos*sh't throughout the whole match anyway so it's not like he could have done much better.

Janko is gone, he scored some important goals but in reality he was never good enough to play for us. The fee is undisclosed by now, but I'm expecting we get a good piece of the €3M we spent on him last January back.
This means we have to get another striker. Curious to see what is going to happen in that department...

About the Moutinho situation, I guess we're safe now that Spurs took Dembele.

He refused €50M a few days ago, saying that for that kind of money he wouldn't go anywhere...wonder how much we get, maybe €60M

No worries bro, you won't be disappointed with the likes of Atsu and Iturbe (Y)

Well you can watch him in Champions League group C, where Milan vs Zenit is now looking like it may be a classic!

It began last Saturday, the combination for the 2nd goal was a peach.

Hulk has signed for Zenit St. Petersburg. Well, that's the last we'll hear of him.

€80 million on Hulk and Witsel. Real shame, money laundering is destroying football.

Uefa fair play transfer rules are ******* useless.
