Yeah Maicon has definitely improved, and I agree he's more no nonsense, but I still technically prefer Otamendi. Again, though, if we don't win the league with THAT, then I don't know.

About the Danilo situation, it might be unconfortable for him but that is what he's gonna have to deal with in order to get his spot.
I'm pretty confident we should breeze through it this season, we have quality players in a well balanced squad overall.

Atsu should do a good job as a starter up front, although he is still unproven.
Iturbe is another good option, but Christian is ahead of him in the pecking order atm.

Defour and Castro are the closest we have indoors to replace Moutinho, and we can always place James in the middle and have Lucho play Moutinho's role. He isn't getting any younger though, his stamina isn't great nowadays...still a fantastic all-round midfielder.

But losing Moutinho would definitely be a huge blow for us, even bigger than Hulk leaving.

More kids leave clubs here to go to good clubs abroad than you'd guess, yet you don't always here a success story. I say give him some time, he's not about to challenge Hazard. He was a first year junior national champion last year, and he was probably one of the best players, but at that age you never know.

No, I mean that maybe his ego is big and he thought he should get more than a youth contract or something. Porto said no for the same reasons you just said, and he was like "screw you guys, I'm going to England."

Yeah that's likely. Plus these kids are getting agents younger and younger these days so his agent probably helped. Still, I'm all for portuguese players getting success anywhere.

Not a great start to the league, but nothing to be dramatic about.
The team is still gearing up, some players are yet to reach their better level, so I expect us to improve soon enough...we definitely need to define who's in and out of the squad ASAP in order to get stability within the group and of course, in the football we present on the field. We should settle our sh't once the transfer window closes.

It looks like Sereno is joining Djalma in Turkey, so Abdoulaye is going to be our 4th CB.
Also, we should be thinking about a back-up for Alex Sandro, since Emídio has been injured for a damn long time and doesn't seem to be coming back soon...if ever. This, of course, only in case Alvaro is sold as it is likely to happen.
