What a great week. Real Madrid lose, Valencia lose and Barça beat Sevilla.

It seems that Ronaldinho woke up for this difficult part of the season. Messi scored an amazing goal.

I agree, it's painful. It's painful that the ref has hurt us against Atletico and now against Barcelona.

Your resume shows you the goal that Escude scored that was annuled for no reason at all which would have put us up 0-1. What it does not show you is the clear penalty on Kanoute when the match was 2-1, or the clear handball that began the 3rd goal for Barcelona. Or the numerous yellow cards given to Sevilla, none of which were for foul play. For example, a yellow card to Palop for "delay of game" when we were losing!

I have all the respect in the world for Barcelona, they are my favorite team after Sevilla, and I don't hold them responsible for any of the shenanigans today. I did not expect to win at the Camp Nou, but today we deserved better. The refs get away with it too because the matches aren't televised.

Now go beat the sh*t out of Madrid. I'll be at the bar watching the game.

Sorry to double post guys, but I thought you might like this high quality match recap courtesy of www.sevillagrande.com.

Watch here. 59.6 MB. AVI. Canal Sur. 3min long.

This replay clearly shows:
1. The annulled goal is legal.
2. The foul leading to Ronaldinho's free kick is not a foul.
3. Marquez trips Kanoute in the box.
4. Motta uses his arm to stop a pass, which should have been a second yellow card, but instead the play goes on and Messi scores.

On a lighter note: Messi's goal was absolutely brilliant, as was Ronaldinho's free kick. Dani Alves and Renato were phenomenal in leading up to Sevilla's goal, as was Dani Alves' pass to Renato for the header that almost went in.

Enjoy!

On the radio I heard that sveilla was by far the best team that had come to Bcn in long time.

It was a catalan radio and they didn't understand the reason of disallowing Escudé goal.

you really should solve the tv rights problem. It must be very dissapointing for your supporters to missing your players actions week after week.

Ok, so the Chelsea game is behind us. Now we must focus on Real Madrid. Always a great derby, so we have to win. We did it in our last visit, why not again...

VISCA EL BARCA!

Well, great game tonight. We sucked.

The only one who proved to be a real star when it's the toughest, is Leo Messi. Hats off to that boy/man/wonderkid. He's the only one who played against Madrid. And Zambrotta, to a certain point.

We don't have a solution for LB, ST, LW, we complain when XID is not the midfield and when they play, they suck; we wanted Thuram, he sucked too. I don't know what to say. I thought we were saving ourselves for this game, but it turned out the players were equally uninterested. Again, with the exception of Messi. He deserves the highest praise for being there when no one else was.

Ronaldinho? Haha.

Like in previous games, I don't understand Rijkaard. Puyol-Thuram is a good defence, but how many times have they played together? once? Then the midfield. Xavi-Iniesta-Deco is the best midfield we can play, but again, is this the best game to start playing that midfield? We need a settled formation for the more difficult games. I think Rijkaard is not managing the rotations very well.

Gudjohnsen has failed the tough tests. I think it's time for Saviola.

Overall the team is in poor form.

Anyway Real Madrid was the team that couldn't afford to lose the game. Barça is still leading la Liga, it's not a tragedy.

i agree with everything you've said. not sure why rijkaard has been messing up his subs recently, he's usually great about that. the loss of eto'o is killing us. never thought i'd say this, but we need saviola, guddy can't play the eto'o role up front so lets see if saviola can do it. we need to go back to the basics, and it's good we have a week to sort ourselves out. players should get a day or two off to regroup, and then come back ready to work. ronaldinho needs to sit a game and maybe we should try guily--saviola--messi up front.

i can see why rijkard made those changes in midfeild, because he thought we were going to defend and not offer anything on the attack, so he tought he had nothing to worrie about, but watching the game against getafe i dont blame him, and to be honest if robinho haddnt played i think those tactics could of worked, but still gret game for real madrid, iam so freaking happy man.

Messi totally owned roberto in the first half.

Just saw the highlights again Ronaldinho should of been sent off for that challenge on robinho, he went in high with studs showing, he could of coused some serious damage, i fotgot about that.
