That sucks.... 
Sucks really bad
I think of all the players, he's the one I least like to lose. Well this will now be a true test of our team to see if we can get over this loss. Gudjohnsen will now have to back up his words at the start of the season and I'm sure Saviola will be getting more time now too.
Funny how that worked out.

that sucks, to lose last year top scorer..... wonder what will this do to the team??
yes klose is excellent; i would love to se him here; but lets face it ; etoo would be back by that time; kanoute could be a good choice too; plus he knows la liga very well;
anyways the reality is another ; we have gudjonhsen and saviola; but mark my words gudjohnsen is going to be very good for the team; his playing style recalls me so much of that of bergkamp.

yeah, barca don't need to buy someone to fill Eto'o shoes. they already have guddy and saviola. and either way, no one can replace a player like Eto'o 
Etoo injury is a big loss.
I think Etoo's goals will be scored by someone else, but who is going to put presure on the other team defence? None of the substitutes has enough workrate and physical power to do that. Etoo was our first defensive line.
anyway, I think we have enough quality players to survive in all competitions until he's back. He'll be back for the crucial part of the season.
I'm sure he'll be back sooner than expected.
Two points more:
Frank, please, leave rotations for domestic matches against week teams. Play with best players available in CL. No Oleguer or Motta when Zambrotta, Edmilson or Marquez are available.

I dont think guddy and savi will score as many goals put together as etoo, i think u might just struggle without him, but u never know.

I don't know. I agree with what Panxo said about Eto'o being our first line of defense and that Guddy and Saviola won't be able to press like him, but I think we'll do alright.
I think if we lost Ronnie for an extended period we would suffer as well, but due to great depth I think the squad can overcome an injury to almost any of the big superstars. I do think that Ronnie is going to have to step it up and take over some matches now as he doesn't have his partner there to support him, so this will be a big test for him.
Now if we suddenly lose Ronnie and Deco as well, I will be worried.

That's the advantage of barca, they have such dept that loosing a player like Eto'o is not as devastating. now loosing two guys, we'll now that would be a whole different story.

Yeah, but actually we could lose 2, just not from the same position. For example an injury to another forward would cause us to be short up front (although with Messi and Saviola, you could argue we already are )
Anyway, I hope he recovers quickly and gets back to his scoring ways.
