Last NEWS:

-Florentino Perez, R.Madrid president, after the last fiasco against Mallorca...had putted his dimission over the table this evening. The "reserve" for the moment until the definitive decission is the vice-president Fernando Martín, due the rest of the directive is trying to convince Florentino for dont to leave Madrid.

-That´s true about Ronaldinho. The Brazilian national team leave free Ronaldinho, and he will not plays on Moscow. The same player, putted in contact with the Brazil doctor, Jose Luis Ronco, telling him that he has problems in his ankle. The Barça medic services will send to Brazil Football Confederation the test, proves, and results that Barça had done to Ronaldinho. Of this way he will has more time for his recovering.

Seems that he has a little contusion on his ankle, that during the last macth against Zaragoza was gone bad, to bad, until his ankle was inflated.

-Finally, time gives me reason about "potato field". What casual that now after the last Champions League play Chelsea-Barça, Chelsea now just decided to change the field........so clearly a tactic thing....that was tottally unsuccesfull....poor Mr.Translator

Hey, no mind.

The reason it wasnt changed was because Chelsea had no break of 2 weeks or more (the required break for the pitch needed at Stamford Bridge due to colder weather, hence the grass not settling quicker). Now that we indeed have a 2 week break, instead of 3 games in 7 days on the pitch, it can be changed.

So there you go mindless.

Dont bother Rob,

When neovico isnt being a fairweather Cule, he spends his time staring at posters of elijah wood and wondering when, when lord, his frodo on a white steed might come. Hey, fool. Pompey had to play on our pitch this weeking, and I doubt their fans, collectively, did half as much whining as you have managed.

Rob, another man that does not where come my nick from, nothing to do with football....but nevermind....ignorance will give you a beatyful life.....i will dont waste my time explain it.

Chelsea had time in the past to arrange the field, 2 weeks and more....winter in Barcelona is not so diferent than there......last weeks within 3 and 6c degrees....so that´s no a excuse. The grass there dont grow well not for the weather, simply because is a potato field, and sure that Mr.Dollars is thinking in to plant potatoes, then with the earns and with the t-shirts merchansiding (im sure that you have almost one, t-shirt, not potato, of course) he will buy the next season player.
It was clear that was a Mr.Translator tactic (oh...Barça is very technic on their play....let´s to make an horrible field), and that´s the fact, but ir does not work.

Don´t worry anyway, next week you will can play here with new grass and feel what´s a real football field.

G*d man.

In winter in Barcelona, the pitch isnt used for two, three weeks atleast.

In England, the pitches are used atleast 4 times in 11 days. Its called wear and tear. Then take into account a pitch takes on average two weeks to relay in England, and take into account Chelsea DID NOT HAVE A TWO WEEK BREAK FROM STAMFORD BRIDGE you can see why the pitch was in the condition it was (although not that bad)

Then you realise that when Chelsea DO HAVE A TWO WEEK BREAK, THEY RELAY IT, LIKE THEY HAVE DONE EVERY YEAR FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS, NOTHING CHANGED.

But, you are dolt, so meh, obviously you will not accept the facts for what they are.

Ok Rob, now seriously. Is true that Chelsea have not time in the past to change the picth, but admit that first of all....was really sad and dissapointed to play a so important macth in that conditions (the rest of Premier league teams have brown fields???...i think that not....weather is not a excuse) and that is "very casual" that they want to arrange it after the Champions league macth, so is clear, and i think that is logic for how Chelsea plays that is better this kind of picth, i mean, the Chelsea play is based on strong and long passes, counter attack, etc...just a very new grass dont goes with it. Let´s see with the new grass if Chelsea follow the same line or not.

Anyway, now that´s not important....we win there, and the important thing is the next leg...and not how is the picth on Stanford Bridge....there´s a Chelsea thread for that.

About that im biased poster.....well....i think that is more biased for Chelsea to lost and the need of to score 2 goals for to win and past the clash, the need of to change the field for that horrible conditions, the bad reactions for Mourinho that show us again that he does not know to lost, THAT´s BIASED...... First of all is a free thread (under a rules) and i can give freely my opinion about football (indeed was more a "news" that personal opinion. If you dont like, you are free to post, i dont see the problem here. As you see we are discussing about a lot of things, and i didnt see any problem of that for example...Rob has his opinion, me the mine, and others other one...so is logical.

Loads of English teams have poor pitches. Cold weather+rain and sleet= bad pitches, unless you have a lot of sunlight on the pitch, which Chelsea can't get. FYI best pitch is Highbury due to long hours of sunshine on the pitch.

Two weeks. Just the time they have now and they are relying the pitch. Now tell me again that they couldn't do it before.

They said that the pitch wasn't that bad.. that's why they're relying the pitch one week after.

It wasn't a tactic, haha

As if we didn't know Mourinho..

It's EVIDENT, they watered the pitch when it was raining FFS..

The picth was horrible but according to some Barça players it was ok to play. It was just brown but ok for the ball. Anyway, it’s worst to play in a soft pitch… and more dangerous. On the other hand it just looks very bad for any professional team to have a pitch like that, but Chelsea already knew that. Too much talking about the pitch I think…

Moving to something more important …

Advertising on Barça shirt?

Finally offers such as Betandwin have been rejected. It seems that Barça is looking for a new way of sponsoring.

The idea is to wear social and solidarity messages such as: “No to racism” or organizations like UNICEF advertising. Of course this would be for free.

FC Barcelona has always been a club with a strong social commitment, and now it’s time to use football influence to show it and promote this solidarity messages.

The club has survived without the financial help of advertising on the shirt, so it could continue like this. Anyway, the staff will look for some companies to make a sponsorship of the messages. Instead of having a 20 millions sponsor, we would try to have 10 2millions sponsors. Social responsibility of the enterprises is something everyday more important, and this would be a way to show it for them.

The idea is still being developed but is something that president Laporta has already been talking about.

What do you think of it?

Well....leaving the "field" thing, due is boring and DT had left it clear with the own Chelsea data (i think that is clear, and Chelsea fans have their own thread to discuss about their picth)...i want to point about panxoman saids.

Really, Laporta wants some special for the Barça t-shirts...showing to the rest of the world (barça fans know it, but rest not yet) that is more than a club. Leaving clear that no more Betandwin...forgot it, no sponsors on Barça t-shirts. It will be not only the typical social messages, kinda STAND UP, SPEAK UP, etc...(seems that this message will never works after the last things with the Eto´o affair)...Laporta and the club wants to be more far on this. For the moment is not clear what kind of thing Barça will brings on the kit, but as Panxoman saids, something very special and with a strong social comminment, solidarity, etc.

This way, Barça will dont earn money of this, i mean, it will be not a typical sponsor that pays a lot of money to the club, like in the other teams, it will be a mutual help with this social affairs, Barça helping to the solidarity things and perciving a very low percentage of this, is clear that Barça will dont earn so much millions with this, due the club priority is to leave clear to the world, what is F.C. Barcelona, his compromise with the society, etc....instead of to sell a lot of merchandising for to earn lots of money and buy expensive players, like other teams.

I was dissapointed when i heard in the past about Beijing or Betandwin....nothing to do with Barça spirit....but now, this new idea is great, due all the life Barça has not sponsors in their t-shirts, and now, Barça will make again something diferent of the rest of the clubs, making again the diference. Im very agree with this last option.

Finally, 2 last pearls:

Today Drogba had given to Mourinho a sportsmanship lesson. Drogba considers that Messi is one of the best players that you can see in a field today. In contrast with Mourinho words, accusing of Messi about his "theater". He saids textually:

"The other day Messi played very well and he shows that is one of the best players of the moment"...and talking about the next World Cup he saids textually "In front to Argentina it will be a very difficult macth, and keeping in mind that Argentina have players like Messi...Puffff!!!!...it will be more difficult yet".

A 10 for Drogba and his honestly about this. That´s the diference between a great player like him and a childist looser like Mr.Translator

And the other one is that Zaragoza had been santioned this evening with 9000 euros for racist words againts Eto´o. Money is not enought for to kill racism, but almost it shows (and in the ref act too) that we can trust a bit in the football justice.

dude, nice words? Nobody gets it. Other teams dont have to go relaying the pitch twice a year like we do because of specific problems related to the geography of Fulham-Hammersmith and the construction of our stadium. Has that all been lost on everyone? The alternative was relaying it just before the match (and honestly, i would rather they did that so that I didnt have to listen to 80 fractured, terrible jokes about a potato field) and have it not set properly for the match.

Then what? Then we hear sylvinho and 'TheMind' gabbing off about how were trying to cheat them with a pitch that isnt set. Do you see the problems now? The pitch did not affect your gameplay in the least, so stop blaming the team for trying to create conditions which circumstance forced upon us.

The pitch watering, on the other hand, was a mystifying but apparrently strategic decision

firstly, have you ever been to England in the winter? I doubt it very much, because I have been to the mediterranean coast in the winter, further north than Catalonia. I'm no meteorologist, but I found that they are different in temperature, noticeably

Secondly, we didnt have 2 weeks in which to relay it, but I wouldnt expect you to understand that. It doesnt seem like you know all that much about football as is

Thirdly, was that a joke? I ask not because I couldnt understand you (that is a miracle in itself, believe me) but because it was so incredibly unfunny

DT, that two weeks was followed by two of the most important home fixtures we have had all year. If the pitch was not properly set for those games, then we wouldve been in deep sh*t, especially against a longball team like Liverpool.

That game was important in essentially killing off the domestic challenge we had in the league. But like you mention the watering, thats more or less indefensible, as it really didnt help either side, but was just suspicious

1- At diference of you, a called "Chelsea fan", almost me, is a bad thing that Florentino left Madrid, due he brings great players to the spanish league together with other teams, like Barça, Valencia, etc...making it the better league in this continent, so may be you hate other english rivals there, but outside of the field (a nice field, on Bernabeu, by the way), there´s no problems without fans. My best friend is a R.Madrid fan....well...things that you will never understand....Indeed is a players problem, not a coach or president matter, players like Becks.....

2- The picth affects the gameplay man.... Did you play football anytime??, i doubt it. And if The Russian is able to buy great players for Chelsea...how is possible that he didnt arrange the field??. If you dont hold the jokes....well...is your problem, but, all the world had seen a potato field there.....so, anyway, for me this theme is closed, you have your own Chelsea thread for to discuss about your stadium. Really, i don´t care. Is the club problem if the stadium is bad placed man....

3-Have you hear about the climatic changes???....sure that not...anyway...too long for to explain....DT puts the data...is so clear.

4-No.....and is Tolkien, not tolkein....read a bit man, but evade the Mourinho´s next books.

5-Ahem.....you are in the Barça thread....not Chelsea....who is constantly talking about opponent? You come here for to talk about your picth?? pfffff......and more, for me the potato field theme was closed...is so boring.

6- About my post, i put what i want to put....pffff...man....do you come here to say me what i should to post??...And, inform yourself too...Marca is more afiliated to R.Madrid....not Barça.

7- So, i think that you should "re-read" your "so clever" posts and dont use Rob as defense (almost he have good points for express here and discuss), better than to lost my time answer you....i guess that is only for cortesy.

Yes...yes..is clear like a field without grass........
