No ROdriguez made the foul not the u 17, and yeah Chivas has the team but not loosing this game was the key even a 0-0 would be helpfull, its time to se if we finally develop the famous Garra Azteca that ive senn very little

Sure Lugano was the man of the match but he should have been sent off with a direct red card on that slide he did at Bofo's knee but oh well....

- thanks for the compliment pasion1, i made it myself....

wow, our clubs are ROCKING IT OUT!!
and as a result our national team doesnt do well...they both cant do well...

i still say our domestic success has an inverse affect on our quality in the NT

i don't think sao paulo played that well... they looked to be so slow sometimes. The players were so fatigued in the second half from traveling and all. But Chivas were even slower than sao paulo and fielded a horrible midfield. Danilo couldn't find his place for being fatigued and all and Bofo couldn't seem to keep his feet.. does he always play like that? more diving and asking for fouls on the ground before the ball even gets to him than actually controling and dribbling the ball... I had never seen him play before but I expected a lot better since everyone says good things about him. But seriously it was a disgrace, it seemed like he dived more than Rivaldo in the WC2002
oh well...
looking foward to de second leg

Yeah Bofo can play an awesome game like if he was a world calss player, but then he can play 3 horrible games in a row without scoring and just diving and crying, i dont like him ,if he was the Bofo of Velez always, he will the best mexican player and probably would be playin in a top European club.

yes bofo can be very inconsistent player; thats was the simple reason lavolpe didnt call to the WC

Meh, I stopped watching after Sao Paulo went up 2-0. I was in a bad mood before the game and that was all I needed to see. IF only Bofo had scored on that clear opportunity and Moncho had made his penalty, MAYBE the game could have taken a different turn.

Congrats to Sao Paulo, there were excellent today and can anyone explain to me why Lugano is going to be playing for Fenerbahce? That guy should be playing at a bigger club, he'd be a great fit at a club like Milan who are in need of a young CB.

Sao Paulo won using their "history" in the Libertadores. Chivas had great chances to open the scoreline.

Hard luck on chivas guys .....but they were very close and you've been improving so much for 2 years straight, there's nothing that says you wont see the same success next year (Y)

But on the Lugano vs. Bofo:::

That was HILARIOUS. Even the Mexican announer (along with Gorge Ramos) was laughing so hard.

He didnt beat, he freaken burried him (Lugano is freaken EVIL (6) (6) ......I love it!)

Best 3 Moments

1) Lugano talking **** from the start to the end of the game. It's 3-0 and Lugano and another Defender start talking **** with Lugano doing the "He's gonna cry" signal to the Brazilian.

2) Lugano makes a run through Chivas and Bofo takes the ball off of him........Lugano gets up and drops Bofo head first by pulling him towards him. (And got away with it too). <When that happened my dad was like "Oh.....he's so gonna get it now.............oh my god"

3) End of the game, Bofo fouls lugano (obviously on purpose) <hard foul> , and Lugano gets up and smiles and laughs at him <though it was obvious that he was hurt, he didnt want to show it>

4) My personal favorite: Bofo misses a shot near the end of the game (mid air shot) and you can see Lugano clapping at him in the background as the ball sails wide <You can actually hear the held laughter from the announcers> :funny:

I never laughed so hard in my life. The camera men were just following Bofo vs. Lugano more than the game itself.

Lugano is now officially my favorite player in the world :rockman: :rockman: :rockman: (and this is ignoring how well he played).

Ahora si se vio la verdad...

Finally reality caught-up with us.

I had hopes that things wouldn't be so bad, but our mistakes really did come down hard on us.

Chepo? There was no coach on this game, only an inexperienced assistant.

Our defence line? One inexperienced player, one not good enough to be a defensive line leader, and one pure sh*t.

Our Midfield? Martinez tried, Ramon's age is starting to catch up with him, he needs to play his position, and only that, Araujo played great.

Our forwards? Now we finally know, for the thousand-and-one time, that Bofo is not a forward, Bravo is overrated, and Santana needs to start as a central-forward, with Medina on his side. Medina did more in a couple of minutes than Bravo on the entire two games.

Our refuerzos? El "chato is sh*t, and will forever be.

Our passion? Gone down the drain. With so many irregularities and changes on coaches, combined with the lack of team-play, there's no room for the passion that could bring us back from being 4 down, like it did in the past. The last 30 minutes of this game stand as proof.

So what do we get? All of Vergara's mistakes as president of this club.

He let go of defenders with out thinking of the future, or of suitable replacements. He brought in a worthless mid-fielder (Chato), and nothing more, even thought he knew we would have and inexperienced team for this year.

But worst of all were the coach changes. He let go of Westerhoff, who was doing a great job with our cantera, and our philosophy of the game. The youngsters we have now, like Araujo (who was of the only who had a great game), and Avila (who should had atleast played at the end), are not there because of Chepo, they're all Westerhoff's work. He also let go of Galindo who had a great relationship with the players, and atleast knew how to get the best out of them.

We could had done better, but didn't.
There's an ugly future ahead, if the team continues this way.
The Mexican League hasn't even started, and we are already giving up 3 points on the first game against Toluca, just so Vergara can make more money with his exhibition game in Los Angeles against Barcelona.

How are the players going to feel, having to travel all the way to L.A., after what just happened... :nape:
