River is good no doubt, but it's a bolivian team. After the 60th minute or so River stopped trying, I wanted to see Luciano Figueroa score some.

Daniel G. Montenegro (Y)

6-0!!!!!!!!!

That's how you play football. :rockman:

Excellent work by all the players, including many who have been disappointments in the past.

Now for the return leg... :rockman:

Heh now it seems that River is giving the proper step in the Libertadores for once. Everything seems to be a nice party(which may turn into an horrible tragedy if they get out later on). However,,,,, 6 goals and Figueroa didn't score, it's a bit strange. I still insist that Estudiantes and Vélez will be difficult teams for their rivals too.

The match that River should be playing against Tiro Federal, for the clausura, the coming wednesday will be moved to February 8th because River will be playing the 2nd leg next week.

Yes it's a bolivian team, but a bolivian team that doesn't play in the height at home.:o

Oriente Petrolero is the worst team ive seen in a long time, but sometimes you cant score 1 or 2 goals to these teams...

So 6 goals is great news.

Santana, Montenegro, Ferrari and Ahumada were the best. Only Ferrari wasnt with Merlo.

We played against the worst team in the Libertadores and now we have to play against the worst in Argentina (Tiro Federal).......

It was good to see Caceres and Figueroa with our colors... :)

Just posted the groups, the red ones still need a team from the on-going round one games.

I guess you can say that River Plate is pretty much secured in Group 8.

First game today:

Final
0 Universitario (Peru)
0 Nacional (Paraguay)

I felt asleep during tis game, don't ask me what happened. :fool:
Universitario qualifies to Group 5.

Right now, Chivas against Colo Colo in Guadalajara.

1st Half
3 Chivas (6)
1 Colo Colo

Senior Squad
Final
5 Chivas
3 Colo Colo

Chivas qualify to Group 1.

We weren't really even trying on the second half, this was far from the team that faced Pumas on the weekend.

I don't think we'll have much trouble in group 1, even though we will definitely be missing alot of our starting players for this tournament. I think we can squeeze into the next round as a second place.
I see Sao Paulo as the only tough team in our way, we did defeat Cienciano 8-2 last year, don't know what kind of team they have today though, I expect our reserves to give them a good competition, as well as to Caracas.

Edit:

Oh, and a hattrick by Suazo!
What a player!
What is he doing in Colo Colo... :fool:

Trust me dude the last Cienciano u faced was total crap. this new one is really young, talented. They got rid of all the old timers because the coach they had was a total moron and just added a squad full of has beens. Trust me they'll put a fight this time

That's good!
I really didn't know anything about them.

We'll be playing next wednesday I believe.
Should be a great start for the group stage.

Chivas might need to solve a couple of problems on the defence first though, it'll be tough to play them in Cusco.

I'm glad to see Chivas eliminating Colo-Colo by a big overall score, I hate them
