chelsea? I'm not a chelsea fan. disrespect? where?
Fergie doesn't beat Mourinho just in titles, but also in class.
fergie is 22 years older than mourinho and has 16 Titles more. That's hardly convincing.
But wait, which one of them has an unlimited budget? Riiiight.
Mourinho has had huge success with a relative small budget at Porto, you know that, don't act like you don't.
didy;2251061 said:it took Alex 6 years to win the EPL Mourinho did it in his first season. they are both Champions League winners but mourinho won it with a weaker team and is most likely to do it again some time in the next couple of years. Mourinho also has many years on the 65 year old Ferguson. Mourinho will easily beat everything Fergie has accomplished.
1) First of all, Fergie won 25 ONLY with United, so there goes trappatoni, forget him and don't ever bring him up.smoove said:trap has won 22 titles.
fergie won 25 - including 6 charity shield titles
if mourinho keeps up his average od 1,2 titles per year he'll have 35 when he's as old as fergie is now.
you see, this title crap is absurd.
mourinho is the most successful coach in world football in recent years, that's the only fact that matters to me.
Rijkaard won 5 titles in 2 years, Mourinho won 4. That's recent history. If you wonna remember what happened 4 years ago, then why not include what happened 5,6,7 years ago too, should Vincente del Bosque be the most succesful in recent years then?PSVFOREVER;2251247 said:Rijkaard more succesful than Mourinho? Get your facts right.
Rijkaard:
2 domestic league titles (Barcelona)
1 CL (Barcelona)
Mourinho:
2 domestic league titles (Chelsea)
1 CL title (Porto)
1 UEFA Cup (Porto)
and also at least one, but I dont know, league titles with Porto
Plus Rijkaard is the only manager in Dutch history who managed to get Sparta relegated.

I don't even know if i should waste my time explaining to you the difference between taking over a midtable team that is worrying about debts and about to be sold for a laughable price and a team that had a ******* sugar daddy for a year and already bought some of the world's best players in the world. The way two started is incomparable. Fergie had to dig the team out of the slump and build from almost nothing and turned all the crap into ******* gold, he didn't have any russian oligarhs to help him along the way, he made what United are today ALL by himself. While Mourinho has an unlimited fund to spend on a team. You are just stupid for even comparing how the two started.
1) First of all, Fergie won 25 ONLY with United, so there goes trappatoni, forget him and don't ever bring him up.
2) If Mourinho keeps up his average and gets 35 titles by the time he is as old as Fergie it will be great for him, we will talk about who was the best then, but for now GUESS WHAT? Fergie won 35 titles in his career, so i guess IF mourinho does really well, he'll tie Ferguson. Title crap is absurd? How else do you prove who is a better coach then? By looking at the situation of a team before the manager took over up until present day? Well, Fergie murders Mourinho in that one too then.
3) For a second time, Mourinho HIMSELF said that he still has to learn learn and learn to be anywhere near as good as Ferguson. Jose is not as stupid as you are to realize it, so if you don't want to listen to me, then at least listen to Mourinho.
4) Most succesful coach in recent years is Frank Rijkaard and not Mourinho, which again proves how blind you are about world football.
I am sure, smoove, that you are pretty intellectual and a decent bloke, but please don't try to deny facts and things that are pretty obvious because you will sound more stupid everytime.
pede: I'm sorry that i had to post all this crap here and mess up the thread, but some people are just unbeliavable ignorant of the happenings in world football.

Back on topic: I can't believe Chelsea don't have a backup world class CB. It seems that even Madrid have more depth in defense. How long until Terry is back?
