Damn, haven't posted in a while, its been a busy couple of weeks but it doesn't get any bigger than a game against Arsenal.

Lampsy, Kalou, Benayoun and Boss still out. Fabregas, Almunia, Gibbs and Vermaelen are out for Arsenal.

Hopefully a better showing from the lads compared to the game against City.

Lost to City, beat Arsenal, Yossi's out for a long time, but Terry, Lamps, Kalou, Alex and Bosingwa are doing better after injuries, it seems. But it looks like Alex, Terry and Bruma will miss the Villa match. I hope that's the extent of it because we didn't do well in our last defensive crisis and we had a deeper squad back then.

We've apparently signed an 11-year-old from Northampton. I know we recruit youngsters all the time, so something must be special about him for it to be news, and for us to pay actual money for someone that young.

0-0, Bosingwa returned to action for 20 minutes I think. McEachran also featured. Kinda hard to complain when I consider all the guys that were missing. It could've gone either way today.

Can't say much more, wasn't paying enough attention.

McEachran was decent when he came on(apart from the mistake with Reo-Coker at the end).

Kakuta was a bit subdued, he tried but just wasn't up to the task of unlocking Villa's defence.

I thought Anelka drifted out wide too often during the match, there were instances where the ball was delivered inside the box and he wasn't there to receive it. Drog was certainly missed. Other than that, we were unlucky to hit the post twice but they also had their chances on the break.

On a positive note, Bosingwa looked good after a long while being out.

A positive result when you think about the injuries. It's important for Bosingwa to recover from the injury, he can assist in both attack and defense very well.

Really glad for Yuri for the goal, and a great goal it was.

I'm really surprised how well we coped for the past few weeks without the player that regularly notched up goals and assists for us in the past 4-5 seasons.(Lamps of course).

I like the look of our squad right now, we only need a same type of striker for Drog as backup, Di Santo was supposed to be just that, but didn't make the cut in the end.

Now hopefully the club will quickly tie up Kakuta with a new deal(expiring next season) and put the likes of Van Aanholt and Josh on new deals as quickly as possible.

Excellent result for us, especially when you consider the players we had missing. I was a little nervous before the kick off hoping that certain players would step up to the plate and perform on the night, and we were not disappointed. Wonderful goal from Yuri and good ol' Nico netted his 50th goal for us to make it 2-0.

On a plastic pitch and against a very good team, we did it and I'm well pleased. Maximum points from 3 games is just great.

Can Joe make himself look even sillier than he already has? You bet he can.

Liverpool are 19th in the league table and Man U are falling apart at the seams. So pleased we landed a fully committed Russian to head our club, rather than profit greedy Americans hoping to make a few bucks. Here's to ya Roman.

Steven Hunt (The violent psycho <unt), hopes to make his debut for Wolves against us this week-end. I only hope that someone on the pitch makes it his last game.

I still appreciate and kindly look back at what Joe did when he was with us. But the way the Liverpool lads(Gerrard, Carragher and the kop faithful) has been treating Joe as Second Coming is clearly giving Joe a big chip on the shoulder.

In addition to the comments he made above, he also mentioned that he's in bad period and his form is bad and that he's never been in a bad form as he's been with Liverpool. Now that's just rubbish, there was a reason why Ancelotti didn't play Joe last season and he doesn't realize that while he had his moments with us, he was very very inconsistent.

Either way, I'd like to see what happens to Joe if Hodgson gets the sack and a top manager(voluntarily) comes in. Its been known that Mourinho, Ancelotti and Capello all didn't trust Joe to do what he was told on the pitch, hence why he was never a certain starter for us over the seasons.

The gap between us and 2nd place is now 5 points with City dropping against Arsenal.

If only Stoke held out longer against Man Utd.

Blackburn gave us a run for our money, but good All Bran popped up in the end to win us all 3 points. Interesting how the return of Bosingwa will affect his place in the team, but he responded well against Blackburn.

Great against win against Spartak, the Champions League group stage is wrapped as far as I'm concerned.

Anelka and Zhirkov both in great form, hopefully the midweek tie hasn't taken too much out of them. Liverpool can still pull off an upset with the players they have. Its important for us to get off to good start, unlike the games against Blackburn and Wolves.

Luckily I just suffered through the 2nd half, but that was bad. I did not enjoy that at all. Poor, poor performance.

Anfield is a difficult place to go to, and those were 3 points you can't really count on, but that's still no excuse. A bad showing.

I'm not liking Ramires at all.

Lost to Liverpool, Essien and Lamps missing and Drogba not fully fit certainly came as a big blow to us at the start. Liverpool didn't really carve out too many chances against us, it was just a case of Torres suddenly exploding to his best.

At the end we were unlucky with Malouda's shot saved by Reina from point blank, and Anelka hitting the crossbar late on.

I thought Kuyt was a big plus for Liverpool, along with us not having Essien, Ramires isn't up to scratch yet and I thought Zhirkov shouldn't have been subbed off.

Still two points, but any loss against Liverpool is going to be hard to swallow. Next match can't come soon enough.

Ray Wilkins has left the club. His contract is not renewed and his release is taken with immediate effect.

Baffled. Came out of nowhere, he was in the dugout last night, there weren't even hints or rumours that he was going to leave.
