In this case you're wrong. Last summer Zaragoza rejected 15m from Liverpool. Zaragoza was not going to sell so for less than 20m.

I agree with you though. For example Valencia could have signed Sneijder some months ago for €12m and Real Madrid will have to pay €27m.

Though I would also add the italian clubs. Milan, Inter and Juve are not poor at all. They also raise the prices.

Italian clubs aren't willing to match these skyrocketing prices anymore. The only reason Milan got Pato over the other clubs was because of a personal preference from the player himself.

Somebody mentioned that Chelsea should go for Miguel as he'd be a lot cheaper,,,, one they show interest in him, im sure Valencia would slap a 25M price tag on his head. To be fair though, Chelsea is finally playing hardball now, forcing Madrid to pay a huge fee for Robben,, usually they just give players away at a small fraction of what they paid (ex, Veron, Crespo, Mutu etc..)

You can't really call Alves a right back though he is much more attacking, Maicon being picked ahead of him is more tactical rather than based on ability. Although admittedly I'm surprised Chelsea are going for him as I can't see him as a player that will fit in with the rigid tactics of Mourinho, unless they plan on using him as a winger. I don't really see the fee as being disproportionate as he is such a huge player for Sevilla and with him present they have a great chance to make progress in the Champions League, which is worth big money.
That was only because Dunga is very defensive and prefers an RB who stays back. Remember that Alves came in as a sub in the final and gave both assists on the 2-0 and 3-0. I was upset that it happened because it him more desirable to Chelsea (6)

i'm sure miguel wouldn't cost more than 15 million euros
he's not young and he left benfica for only 8 million, so i don't think valencia would ask for much more

I hope you keep Robben. Good player but not worth what you ask, imo. Plus, this wole circus is tiring. Keep a player who doesn't want to be there.

If the little tosser puts in a transfer request then he can piss off tommorow as far as I'm concerned mate.

If Real Madrid hadn't of tapped Robben up right at the beginning of all this, perhaps Chelsea wouldn't be playing hardball with your club right now.

Robben, his dad and Real Madrid tried to pull a fast one behind Chelsea's back so thats what you get . Those 3 parties fu<ked with Chelsea, so now Chelsea are gonna fu<k with those three.

If Madrid want him, then they can pay the asking price. If Robben don't like it, then he can sulk on the bench until his contract expires in 2 years time as far as I'm concerned.

All he has to do is request a transfer and he is GONE.

Hmm a Chelsea fan whining about tapping up a player? Interesting, no offense of course but that's kind of amusing. Also I doubt the situation would be any different if we approched it any other way, as soon as we are after a player his price skyrockets....and what's this about tapping up anyway?

BTW why would you want to keep an unsetteled player? Serious question here. Also Robben is kind of being a **** about it, he won't put in a transfer request because he want's that 2 million pound bonus or whatever it is that Chlesea will give ( loyalty bonus I think it is right? )

I hope he stays there, really. It'll teach everyone a lesson. Teach Robben to deal the right way, keep him on the bench that way Chelsea pay him to sit and do nothing, that'll teach them and teach us not to get rid of a natural LW before we get another. I'm tired of this. It's time to focus on who we have and not who we should have.

Nearly cost us the game last night he struggles even with simple clearances he never should have let Torres pass him that easily.

Yah, the stutter step was good, changed his pace right at the end. And the RB should have had Torres, Ben Haim wasn't even in a good enough position.

OFFICIAL: REAL MADRID GOT ARJEN ROBBEN, gonna have his medical soon. Now i dont even care , Malouda's been class.. but with this sale its very likely we'll get Alves now, so it works both way.

So, where are all the guys that were saying Robben will stay?! Robben went to Madrid. I think you guys should be happy though. You got alot of money for it. But then the bad news comes. You have got yourself a 'world class' RB. His name is........BELETTI!! :| lol what a joke. What do you guys think?!

Where di you hear we got Belleti? And, if the Robben news are true, and I'm waiting to see him in a Real shirt, then I'll be pissed and disappointed.

Hope he succeeds and gets injured less in Real.

Robben going to Madrid isn't such a bad thing anyway. He wasn't happy at Stamford Bridge. Malouda has come in to replace him because of the injury problems Robben has, and he looks like he'll have an even bigger impact on the left side than Robben did in his first season.
The money will probably be used to sign Alves at RB, which is the only position that needed strengthening. So overall, I think Chelsea will be the happier.

yes your right we got Belletti, Belletti is quality atleast hes better than the RB we got im not sure bout Diarra cuz im a big fan of Diarra but not really at the same level as ALves, why didnt we just opt for LAHM? but.. gotta say Sevilla are a bunch of SCUMMM, thier valuation was 36 million for Alves and were giving around 31-32ish and finally we matched thier valuation and SCUM SEvilla raised it to 40 million, i hope we meet them in C.L

it seems we got 36 million for Robben , and NOOO WAY is Alves (40 mil Sevilla valuation) WORTH more than Robben (sold 36 mil)
