It's official, Dani Alves is going to Chelsea :(. 32 million euros and possibly another 4 depending on how chelsea does (objectives). I guess it was inevitable, but I still feel crushed. That guy was half of our team.

If you weren't already aware, you've signed a hell of a player. Phenomenal technique, magestic crosses, and after 90 minutes of running he doesn't even look tired.
I thought it was 36 mil and possibly another 4. Well, either way, Chelsea got one of the best RBs in the world ffs. Damn, fantastic player. And now that that deal is done, the Robben case is gonna be finished later tonight or tomorrow early. Win-win situation ;)
Congratz with ur signing guys. (I guess Sevilla will go after Cicinho now)

Marca reported 36 million originally, but it's definitely 32 plus 4 objective. I don't understand since we supposedly turned down an offer for 35 million.

Hammy, one of the best? Name an RB who is better.

Even the best RB in the world is not worth 32 mil so quit being devasted and enjoy the millions.

Great to have Alves. He is exactly what we need, and I don't see any need in changing the team whatsoever now that we have him, no departuves or signings. This team can win anything.

I hope not. And, a. He hasn't requested a transfer. b. Chelsea don't want him to leave. c. The spanish media are the ones pulling on this thing, and from personal experience, the spanish media suck.

Alright, I see that even mentioning a team here causes a raid. Please take this to the R.Madrid thread. People come to this thread to read about Chelsea, reading through a page of R.Madrid stuff isn't really appreciated.

No mate! It's all in context and relative. We are dealing with you for Robben so at least comments should be expected. We are not here to be pains or argue, far from it. Supposedly, Alves deal is sealed, congrats. He is an immense talent, the best on that side at the moment. I hope he settles into the english game well. Hopefully we can also resolve this Robben culebron and start preparing witht he full squad. Cheers!

I must admit this is partly true, depending on what media. Marca, although they are very Madridistas, always invent stuff left and right just for ***s sake. Either way, Robben is not playing for you guys and there's no hiding that he's not in the plans...from what I see, I could be wrong. Transfer request or not, just send him to us.

A little tip: Players, smart players do not want to burn bridges, they want to play first team football and if a deal is on thin ice or doesn't look too concrete, I doubt they would want to be a pest to their coach, etc. They play both sides of the coin. Not to be arrogant but I wouldn't see why a player would not love to play for us (aside from being antimadridista). You can't get bigger than us (again, not being arrogant, just the truth). Plus, Spain has magnificent cuisine, nice weather, lifestyle, etc...I think Robben willlike it.

GLAD TO HAVE ALVES, well Pede knows his stuff and that loyalty bonus is hard to walk away from. Im not sure if Real Madrids offer would be that big of a pay raise compared to wat hes gettin at Chelsea, and Robben knows that if he can stay healthy and be ruthless he'll be in the starting 11. On top of that the 2 mil, so its gonna be interesting, i hope he doesnt leave , im not big fan of Mijatovic and the way he deals so i hope he doesnt get his way, but seeing Malouda play is definitley easing his departure situation quite nicely.

32 million Euros comes down to almost 22 million Pounds plus an extra possible 2.7 million pounds because of clauses. I was really hoping that we'd stop paying 20+ fees for players unless they were the prolific name kind such as Schevchenko (I'm not saying that Alves is a worse addition then Schev obviously). Problem is that when we pay this much for a RB, it increases the asking price for other RBs. I was really happy to get Malouda for the 12-13 GDP but this is stretching it. Alves is a great player but he's only been notable in the last two seasons in Europe.

And I agree, Lahm would be a way better decision. He's more versatile since he can play on both flanks, he can attack too like Alves, he's also very young, and he'd be less than 20 million GDP. He's also been consistent and more proven and performed well in big tournaments like Euro 04 and the WC.

Glad to at least have a RB, time to sell or re loan out Johnson. He's a good player but he should really be a right midfielder/winger because he's never been able to defend.

Mijatovic is horrible negotiator. They've really embarrased us this x-fer season. We were practically at our knees begging for players left and right. Real Madrid is bigger than this. Unacceptable. No disrespect but I think most players would rather be at Real Madrid. Chelsea is a great side now and London is cool but when it comes to being at the top, if you could do it in Madrid, it's the tops. P.S. - Will Alves start next game? Curious to see how he adapts.

im not sure bro, today its alll bout the wages, Robbens sr. said that if they had offered him a 100,000 per week wage he would of stayed but chelsea were only willing to pay him 90,000 (im quite sure of this maybe Pede can clarify it) but yeah , also i dont think Alves will be starting the next game, Mourinho said it would take Alex 2 weeks to get into the same page with the other players and im thinkin that would be the same time period with Alves as well.

And i completely agree, NO WAY is ALVES worth this much and players prices jsut gettin inflated.

Dip, you are correct mate. Robbens dad did say that. Personally I dont think he has earned such a large pay rise and should think himself lucky that he was offered £90,000 a week. If the guy gave us a full season instead of 20 games a season or thereabouts, then maybe Chelsea would have been willing to think about more money. Robbens dad tells him what to do and that is a shame for Robben. He's old enough to make his own decisions, but as Robbens agent, his dad stands to make big money from any transfer concerning his son. Thats all his dad is thinking about. Like all agents, he is a greedy bastard. A parasite who lives off his son.

Dani deal is definately not done yet so no point in talking about him.

OrgulloVikingo.....no disrespect man but you are talking about the Real Madrid of the past. These days your club does not impress players like it used to. They see how players are treated. They see boardroom battles. They see coaches lasting for ONE season.

Your club is a very unstable club. Players want to see stability in a club where they will feel secure and respected. Somewhere where the boardroom stays constant and the coach can be in place for more than one season.

Real Madrid over the last few seasons, have looked a poor shadow of themselves on and off the pitch. I have huge admiration for the history of Real Madrid and I also used to think of them as the number one club on the planet for prestige. Not any more.

To me it looks like these days, the club is run by amatuers caught up in constant power struggles, who are more interested in their own agenda's, and they do not seem to care if they drag your club through the mud.

I hugely respect Real Madrids past, but the present leaves a lot to be desired. Obviously as a Madrid fan you think differently and your bias is understandable. Outsiders do not view Real Madrid any more the same way you still do mate. Times have changed and although your history might be a history to be admired and envied, it is the present and more importantly the future that matters more than the past.

This is very true. Stability is important. Our present cannot match our past...hopefully we can be great soon. And as is more often the case than not, we come back to greatness. I think regardless of present situations, when a player is offered to play for us, it's hard to turn down. We're still always fighting for trophies...it's not like we are never in the quarter or semifinals of every tournament.

Wow! Dealing w/ you guys is like pulling teeth. Don't you guys wanna have asettled squad already? I hope we can each get our player soon in order to move on. I know Sevilla are also playing hardball:f***:
