I have a feeling that they are going to go further than they have in the past and maybe win it all, despite the fact that many people don't give them a lot of credit.

You would be surprised at the number of people who would consider Lyon a dark horse, simply due to the lack of knowledge of French football.


So I don't think they are a dark horse. I think they are on the verge of having their breakthrough to the finals or winning it all, which hasn't happened for them yet. They are due.

It's true. Lyon have been massively underrated in the past few years. I think they will go through to the next stage, they have a solid team and the quality for it.

I agree, I think Lyon can go very far. There team is solid and play some nice football. Too bad they sold Carew though, he was pretty damn good for them. Not only that but they have a pretty deep squad too.

True enough, although he wasn't getting much time this year and only had 1 goal in 9 apps (7 starts). Plus, Houllier has always like Baros.

I always thought that he fit their playing style, pretty good in the CL at least. Always played good against us, bastard:(.

I had Lyon as one of the favorites to win it all before the CL started, although I'm getting the Roma vibe as well for some reason. Lyon just hasn't played as well this year as they were doing all of last year. The return leg will be a hell of a game for sure.
