This is one of the truly rare occasions on which I get to watch a Dortmund game LIVE. :lui: It' s been years since I watched them at LIVE or not (the final in 97) so I am looking forward to it. I think there is a chance to land 5th spot!

Dortmund are looking to sign a new cb for the next season. Their top transfer targets are the young German prospects Markus Bollmann (24, SC Paderborn) und Martin Amedick (22, Eintracht Braunschweig).

Warmuz, Bergdölmo, Evanilson, Fernandez, Madouni, Malte Metzelder, Demel, Oliseh and Thiago are not gonna be with the team next year.

It's a wise decision to finally give the youth a chance, at the moment it's working.

Yeah its working pretty well. One of the biggest surprises and best things to happen this season is the great play of Kringe. Maybe those two youngsters and Degen can break through as well.

Kristajic and I think Schalke's #1 keeper are injured for the derby, and Smolarek is out for the season :nape:

Finally a BVB game on FSC!!!! :lui:

We also need a right-back as a fail-safe for Degen. We need to bring in someone from the youth ranks or loan-in someone, pronto. I want Metze teamed up with Brzenska in the middle. I'm going to research some info on these guys (Bollmann and Amedick).

I think it's improbable. I mean, -HIGHLY- improbable. Some sort of miracle would have to occur. Bremen, Leverkusen, and Hamburg have to lose their next two games while Dortmund have to win their next two (I see Dortmund either drawing or losing to Schalke and winning over Hansa Rostock on the final day). But alas, Intertoto looks the likeliest, and I see nothing wrong with given what the team's been through this season.

Kick off is underway.

And for fuck's sake, Ridge Mahoney is commenting. God. :(

HT: 1-2 Dortmund

- Kehl (16)
- Waldoch (19)
- Ricken (42)

Schalke -- clearly the better side in the 1st half with the most oppertunities and such. But, Weidenfeller = AMAZING! He is the difference in this game, thus far. Also, stupid miscue from Brzenska that costs us a goal. He should have been attached to Waldoch like a pubes on balls.

Weidenfeller Is Truly Amazing!!!

Dortmund has been so lucky in the past weeks it's not even funny. Weidenfeller of course was simply amazing.

Leverkusen will get at least one point against Mönchengladbach and thus make it to the Uefa Cup (6th spot goes directly to the Uefa Cup due to Bayern and Schalke playing DFB Cup final).

These lucky games are not even close to making up for all the unlucky games in the first half of the season. Weidenfeller = Germany's #1. The man is the best.

Rosicky played excellent as well. He played really really hard and was a good playmaker.

As always, Ewerthon = poop.

Damn right. I can name several past games we deserved to win, but ended up losing or drawing instead.

The egg is on Schalke's face, though. Yes, we are frail as hell at the back, but the difference (Weidenfeller) clearly made up for it. Schalke had how many shots on target? They have only themselves to blame.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Odonkor has the pace of a bullet train, seriously. He should have had a goal to his name. He was a monster on that far-right wing whenever he got possesion (within those last ten minutes of the game).

Ricken scored in the last game against Shalke. :rockman:

Is Metze getting back on 02 form? I haven't seen BVB matches in a long time and i was wandering what happened to this guy Seb. Kehl?

I have a feeling this team eats talents up. :nape:
