And we've got the sublime honor to stole a championship from you, in Estádio da Luz and give it to FC Porto ...SLB-SCP :1-2 : goals by Morato and Manuel Fernandes...all Benfica fans had to swallow the party ( as usual and always benfica launch the rockets before the game begins, and then the others make the party)that as been prepared. And FC Porto that won he's game in Setúbal are ready to win the title. Anyway FCP must win last game against Sp.Covilhã (4-2) to became champion. In the same last week Benfica lost in Bessa ( bad place for Benfica) by 2-1!!!!! do you remember the importance of this league title ???? Is that in the next year FC Porto beat bayern Munchen in the European Champions Cup by 2 goals to one and won the european title -goals by Madjer and Juary. so FC porto must admit that Sporting was alrge "friend" in that time

you must have horrible memory.that year was one of the Porto Penta years.For god sakes Benni macCarthy who played for CELTA DE VIGO scored a goal against Benfica in that game.he's 25 years old now, then if that was the year Benfica won the title, he'd be what 15 years old.your benfiquism is making you forget your memory.get your facts straight.



well, back to the thread.unfortunately, once again a portuguese team loses to an italian team, just like today against Milan.the thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that neither team deserved to lose.italian teams play boring soccer. Benfica and Porto deserved to win their games respectively, but unfortunately it's not how good someone plays, it's how much you put in the net that counts.

Portuguese soccer is getting WAY better, watch out, i can see Porto at least in the Quarters in the CL, and i can also see Benfica and Sporting in the Quarters in the Uefa aswell(prob semi-finals witha bit of luck)

i may not have many posts but i'm on this forum evryday, and it makes me sick to my stomach when i see threads like these ones, bashing other teams, especially portuguese ppl bashing portuguese teams.No wonder our league sucks major @$$.

ps.FCP_1893 shut your mouth you don't even now what your talking about.it's ppl like you that make portistas like me look bad, personally i didn't lik what the superdragoes did, but the no name boys aren't any better, their flag looks like some 1960 fascism regime flag from germany(u get my hint)

all these results you guys are talking about are in the past. why do you care those games are history, stop dwelling on them.this whole BENFICA VS.PORTO VS. SPORTING crap is completely useless and rediculous, just look at the italian soccer fans, they support each other no matter what club they support.

well as u all know i'm Portista, and glad that i am, i'm very proud of my club's acheievements. i agree that Mourinho is cocky and arrogant, but i feel he does that to motivate his players. IF THE COACH BELIEVES THAT A TEAM CAN WIN, THEN THE PLAYERS WILL DO SO TO.for god sakes, he was like that with Leiria, and look at the season Leiria had.

this wa going on between club's is splitting the country apart.i can't even go to Lisbon, cuz i'll be prejudiced be them for being form the north, same goes for ppl from the sul that some to Porto. It's ridiculous, i've seen ppl literally getting beaten to pulp cuz of the team the support, what the hell is this.SLB, SCP, FCP are soccer teams, not terrorist organiazations.

i've gotten my ass kicked by benfiquistas at my school just for wearing my FCP jersey.i would like to support my club without fear.


if a 15 year old person like me can realise this then i'm sure adults(i suppose that most of u are) can realise this aswell.

Paulo, I agree 100% with your post. I mean, we're Portuguese we have to argue, but it gets to a point where it's rediculous.

As for my opinion on Benfica x Lazio. Since the draw was made, we knew that one good team was not going to be in the CL (SSL or SL and unluckily it was us. I think it would have been a different outcome if we had a full healthy squad, but hey, **** happens and you can't control injuries. Our biggest problem was not putting away our chances, something that Lazio did very well. Our squad was also very inexperienced heading into this tie (most of our players are 20-25), and it showed in the first match.

I believe in Benfica's squad and think that we can do a lot of damage in UEFA, and hope we do, alongisde Leiria and Sporting. However we need to take it game by game, and Louviere is first.

i'm talking about the sporting 7-1 benfica of 1986/87 season... lol

but you are right in the other things that you said. but if you pay a little more attention it wasn't the benfiquistas that starts the fights... we only answer... this stuff of the results it's obviosly a joke...we didn't offend each other...

sorry i though u were talking about 7-1 to celta. it's true that not all the times it's benfiquistas that start but sometimes you guys go to far, same goes for portistas(FCP_1893).
