Ribery is making the bundesliga look horrible, with all his genius flashes. I mean even Diego looked in discomfort almost like thinking "Damn and i though i was the genius in the field."

that PK was sheer genius..and that ball handling on the 3rd goal? Wow...

i now know why ribery chose bayern instead of madrid (:/)

That's easy.Becouse in Madrid careers are going down, becouse the club has no inside order. In Bayern he saw a team that is rebirthing and he saw future at club where he can relax.

I wonder for how long Ribery is going to stay.

Unless Chelsea throw 50M+ on our front porch, Ribery is going to fulfill his entire contract. It doesn't get much bigger than Bayern.

No, Chelsea have Malouda who's only slightly cheaper than Ribery but pretty much the same position, and they're not willing to spend that sort of money anymore unless they can get someone else for cheaper (see Danny Alves).

Shifty described a possible scenario that could happen in a few years, not now. Ribery was a journeyman in the past decade. He wanted to find a home for his family. He will stay here for the next two, three years and then we'll have to see if he's keen to extend his contract.

A lot depends on the shape of the league. The doors will soon be opened for investors. I reckon by 2010 a lot German clubs, maybe even Bayern (offers have been turned down already) will be owned by big investors. It's a shame from a traditional standpoint but a reality in modern football.

Diego was also outclassed by Luka Modrić when they played Dinamo Zagreb.

He is the same guy we were willing to invest 30 mill i see. I guess the gossips were not that wrong after all. Still mate i kinda believe Diego is on the same level as Ribery and Modric probably cought him on a bad day after all.

Diego is surrounded by fecking scrubs at the moment. Half their team is injured. Vranjes, Jensen, Andreasen, Carlos Alberto (needs a lot more time to adapt to German football) and Sanogo + Rosenberg/Almeida/Schindler upfront. Jeez. That's midtable quality. He also missed most of the preseason thanks to the Copa.

Modric is brilliant but we're loaded in midfield. When everyone's fit we need to bench two of Schweini, Altintop and Sosa. The squad's fine, we're not Real Madrid.

It would have been a very smart investment.

Fantastic player Luka Modrić is. The team that gets him will be blessed.

Back from Mexico fools, t'was a great time.

What's even greater is this win that I heard about against some team named Bremen or something like that. I heard we won 4-0.

Top of the table all by ourselves. God i missed that feeling (H)

O and just out of curiosity, i told you guys Roque would explode in England. He scored another goal today.

Toni ripped them to shreds. It's a shame he picked up a minor injury so early, he would've easily scored some more. That left us without a decent presence upfront.

It's good to see that almost everyone improved now that they're surrounded by Ribery/Ze/Toni/Klose. We haven't conceded a single goal in a competitive match yet. Demichelis and Lucio look rock solid at the back. And even Lell doesn't get on my nerves anymore.

Next week we should have Toni, Klose and Poldi available against Hamburg. (H)
