Starting 11:

ROMA – Curci, Mexes, Pizarro, Montella, De Rossi, Virga, Defendi, Vucinic, Rosi, Mancini, Cassetti. A disp – J. Sergio, Taddei, Chivu, Perrotta, Polverini, Marsili, Okaka. All – Spalletti.
TRIESTINA – Dei, Kyriazis, Gorgone, Briano, Ruopolo, Azizou, Rossetti, Groppi, Marchini, Eliakwu, Lima. A disp – Rossi, Bianco, Mignani, Testini, Allegretti, Piovaccari, Graffiedi. All – Agostinelli.

Final score: Roma-Triestina 2-0, Virga 22', Montella 26'

Good 1st half, Triestina got some chances and Roma could score again; the 2nd half was a training, Marsili came for De Rossi, Okaka for Mancini and Perrotta for Vucinic.

Vucinic did nothing, too bad to be real, ok Montella, it's been the chance to see new and young players like Defendi, Rosi, Virga, Okaka, Totti and Panucci were out, Perrotta, Taddei and Chivu on the beanch.

OK, we're in the last 8, we'll play with Parma or Napoli.

Forza Roma!!!!! :)

He's very young ok, but I've seen him play many times, a worldclass player is great from the beginning, for example Buffon, Curci is a keeper who can play serie B or other minor series, not serie A and Roma......

Oh, maybe I'm wrong and in 2-3 years he's stronger that Buffon too lol!!! :)

i don't know what keeper paolo has watched when watching curci, but i have also seen alot of him and he has alot of talent and promise. he is the starting keeper for the national under 21 and he is only 20 years old. barring anything, he should be our keeper of the future.

Dear Modena, I've seen Curci play many times, there're 2 troubles:
1-he has not phisycal qualities to be a keeper in modern football
2-he's a SEGA........
This is only my pareer, I hope to mistake but I think so for now, maybe in the future, don't know, however Oliver Kahn 4 example was anybody 'til he joined Bayern München, so is football........ :)

Spalletti agrees to Montella move Saturday 2 December, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roma boss Luciano Spalletti has opened the door for Vincenzo Montella’s move to Milan by refusing to rule it out.

“I can understand the difficult moment he is going through, but he must also understand that of the team. I’ve spoken to him about this, as I always talk to the club and the players when there is an issue,” said the Coach.

“Montella is a man who knows what he’s doing and has given a great deal to Roma. He’s important for this side and we all consider him very highly. When the transfer market opens, I cannot exclude any eventuality. We don’t know what could happen between now and January.”

The newspapers in Italy reported this week that Milan were angling for Montella’s loan to solve their striker crisis, as the hitman is disappointed at only making a handful of appearances this season.

“It’s a tough time for us and we must try to charge up our energy levels because a great deal of our future will be decided in this period. We’ve already shown we can challenge anyone and I am convinced we can push it a little bit more.”

The Giallorossi climbed into second place last weekend and will welcome Atalanta to the Stadio Olimpico this evening.

“I am Stefano Colantuono’s friend, even though we’re fairly different people. It’ll be a dangerous test for us, as they are a very physical squad and will be able to keep the tempo high throughout. We mustn’t make the mistake of underestimating Atalanta.”

I don't get why Montella wants to leave us. He's one of the leading players in our team. One of the key-players in very strong team who's gonna try to win Scudetto and he's wants leave?! If he left us I will lose all my respect to him. (C)
